I have typed the reason for this thread many many times, but have deleted, I almost started a thread about what he said to me this evening, but couldn't be arsed finishing it.

AIBU to just say that partners can be knob-eds sometimes, Could you perhaps join me in agreeing with this sometimes and say something like "Hey my DP was an arse one time, he "

After a really shitty day for me, coming home to his grumpy arse complaining that I don't pull my weight, then I spent 2 hours on phone trying to reset a friggin wireless connection, and putting dd to bed while he sat on his arse the whole time, well except for making his own dinner and ignoring me I've disappeared upstairs to moan on MN.

DP is currently in the bath, drinking beer. He had 4 beers yesterday, 4 more today, despite the fact that we're dangerously close to running out of money. Every time he opens one I wince, in case the noise wakes up DS who I'll have to deal with. He also fucked off all afternoon today, will do so every day until Friday despite the fact that he can just say no (volunteering) and despite the fact that I am almost dead on my feet with tiredness and frustratedness and dealing with a whiny baby who wants his daddy. He's given me one day off since DS was born - a whole year ago.

If he gets out of the bath and says "so what are you cooking for me then?" again I may throttle him.

4 beers? can top that by a LOT (am too embarrassed to put amount). Then was on me like a dog on a bitch this morning despite my obvious reluctance. Once we had got up he cheerily asks if i can iron a shirt for him for work.

Agree totally, but, he made his own dinner???....mine would not have done that, just expected me to make it.
Yes too to the Facebook obsession...crap.
Also, why do we all have to be quiet when they are doing stuff, but they can make as much shagging noise as they want?

Hello DH - I am here, you know that fixture in the corner of the room you may catch a glimpse of when you look up from your computer! I do all the housework, but of course this is only fair as you get the kids up in the morning and cook meals, even though I work as many hours as you do. As for bit of hanky panky - forget it, I'm not interested!

Hmm (could be here a while)

Decided to get in the show 15 fucking minutes before we have to leave for work, insisting he wouldn't be too long (he was) and making me late on a really important day when I didn't need the extra stress.
Ignoring all my texts throughout the day making me feel guilty for being a tiny bit short with him this morning (for reasons above)
Taking his dinner from me without looking up or saying anything - a friend was over looking at the computer and even he said sarkily 'I think the words you are looking for are 'Thank you''

But he has just given me a bag of revels...

I really wouldn't know where to start. But we're separating because of his selfihness, laziness, cruelty, total lack of empathy. I'm pretty sure he'd score very high on a "Psychopathy Test".
He's going travelling this week, for 45 days, leaving me to work and pay his debts and look after our dc. He says I should be supportive and help him by ironing his stuff and pack his luggage (honestly!).

My dh is an arse because I had two wisdom teeth taken out today, my nan could only look after LOs for a couple of hours (2yr9m, 21m and 9m), despite asking MIL for help this afternoon (this was last week I asked and she gave me a very vague look and said "sorry, I dont get what you need me for?!?" to which I replied very slowly I might be in paay-ennnnnn!! Anyhoo, had the bastards out, gets home, pack off dear old nan, anaesthetic wears off so promptly collapse onto sofa. Leave baby napping and toddlers watching Fireman Sam (mother of the year award goes to....) anyway, phone dh and ask can I keep them up til he gets home (half hour past normal bedtime) so he can pack them off to bed and get the same response as MIL "why???" "because Im in fecking pain and can barely remember my name" I manage it, I get them to bed. Phew this story does have an ending. He comes home, they've wrecked the place (still not the chaos that greets me when he looks after 1 or 2 of them (never, ever all of them, ever)) and I get the moaning, groaning, thats right lay about and let them run wild. Hello I am fecking pain still, I asked your mother for help. Dont blame your failings on my mother.
Ive spent so long moaning about him Ive forgotten what other crap he was comjng out. Anyway ladies, I feel better now for offloading, teeth still killing (had to be each side too)

DH can be a moody git sometimes. It really get my goat when he comes home in a mood and allows it to spill over into the evening.

But the first thing that popped into my head when I read your OP was DH's ability to be critical over the most idiotic things and then say I was making a fuss if I get upset over his behaviour.

Example: DH doesn't like shopping so much and neither do I. I probably like it less than he does in all honesty. For this reason I have very few items of clothing in comparison to most people and DH hates this as he thinks I should have nice clothes and shoes, which is fair enough.

As I lack footwear, I decided to bite the bullet and go shopping in central London. DH was also to accompany me and purchase some items of his own.

We got to central London and he immediately started to become frustrated with the situation (crowded, noisey etc..) and projected this onto me. He started asking me which shoe store I wanted to go to, to which I replied I didn't have an exact idea as I was shopping around, something we were aware of before setting out (how often do you have an exact idea of what shoe, brand, size, style and so on you are going for before actually looking Hmm). He started being critical and asking me why I hadn't made a better plan of what I was doing before setting out, to which I told him that he had known we were shopping around for shoes, what did he expect exactly? Shopping around casually is going from store to store to find what you want.

He started to ask me every five minutes what my plan was to find these shoes and became exasperated and snappish with me. We had a massive row and we left empty handed as I couldn't hack his attitude anymore.

All that after his being the one giving me grief about buying some new clothes.

He is a brilliant husband in every other sense, but his moodiness pisses me off no end sometimes. Silly man.
