I was shopping in Marks and Spencer and came across this glaring at me in the checkout queue.

First this is a horrible story but par for the course for the media, but 'Josie' is on the front page, inside were enormous pictures of this woman in her bikini. I don't know who she is but I don't want my kids reading shite like this or even seeing it in the supermarket. why the hell is it anyone's business how fat she is? Why does she deserve to have pictures of her in her bikini plastered all over the country?

PS - I was more shocked by the story in Heat last week saying Nicole Scherzinger who is TINY has been told to lose 10 pounds by producers of the US X Factor.

Heat ran the story as if they were shocked, but they still ran the story so thousands of girls still got the message that size 8 is too fat. Cannot imagine the damage messages like that do to teenage girls. If Heat really cared liked the claimed to do they wouldnt give messages like that air time.

No magazines give a shit about girls' health. And the more stories they run about 'fat' celebs, the more women will buy their magazines with their 'lose 10 lbs in two weeks in our beach-ready diet!' stories.

Women's magazines should be put on the top shelf frankly. They are massively damaging to women's self-esteem
