Towel-gate

DH had a bath on Saturday night.
He left his towel on the sofa. Shoes in the bathroom door way, jeans on the bathroom floor. (There were no throws of passion involved to explain the scattering of clothes, it is just where he took them off Grin)

They are still there.

AIBU to leave them there?

and

AIBU to ask you to join me in towel-watch to see how long the towel stays on the sofa?

Grin

PS I am not enabling his behaviour by picking up after him, hence stuff is where he left it. I know life is short to get wound up by these things- but it is too short for me to go around picking up after him

PPS I don't want a divorce

PPPS I think these threads always mention what a great DH and Dad he is - he is!

PPPPS He has had a shower since then

Gramercy take all of the bulbs out in the rest of the house? Worth half an hour with the stepladders to prove a point imo!

gramercy · 21/06/2011 14:59

Might well try that. Only trouble is today is lightest day of year and dh is off to see Ozzy Osbourne...

moonbells · 21/06/2011 23:02

I now have a monkey hanging off the handtowel rail.

I leave the house before my husband in the morning, but often when I go to bed in the evening I find his wet towel on my side of the bed,Angry I really hate that!!!
Once, years ago, I went on washing up strike, as I make the dinner I felt he should do the washing up, we were getting to the stage where I wasn't going to be able to do the cooking due to lack of stuff when we went to stay with friends who had a dish washer, DH was very impressed and ordered one . He never had to do the washing up again!! Oh but when he does he always uses a washing up brush so he doesn't get his hands wet.
Twenty years on Im still trying to train family to put stuff in the dishwasher instead of sink.Sad

Towel elephant on my profile. I think it's my achievement of the week. No, make that year.

Did make it from properly-hung-up towels, not ones DH had dropped - does that count? (to be fair he never leaves wet towels all over the floor).

DH thought the towel might just have fallen on the floor like that grin.

Wigeon · 23/06/2011 19:24

DD1 (just turned 3) laughed at it because I was laughing and then asked, all wide-eyed "why is it funny mummy?". Er...

Dannythedragon · 24/06/2011 19:26

This thread almost cost me a new pooter. Just took a huge swig of diet coke then read Tunips post mon 21:42. Just managed to stop myself. I don't think laptops would like coke as much as I do.

moondog · 24/06/2011 19:34

ShoeJunkie · 14/08/2011 16:21

Why is this thread not in classics?!

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 14/08/2011 17:22

Why indeed - and what is more, how in heaven's name did I manage to miss this thread when it happened???!!

Fuzzywuzzywozabear · 14/08/2011 18:07

When dh and I first started living together he left his wet towels on the bathroom floor. I stepped over them. The next day he complained his towels were still wet. I said, "that's because you didn't hang them up" he never did it again!

superjobee · 14/08/2011 18:33
