to feel hurt by DH

Again, for the second time, he has travelled on business and stopped off at duty free to buy himself cologne. No, he did not buy any for me. I think that stinks. I never pass through duty free without buying for him, ever. I had a sulk and when he asked what was wrong I told him. Made the big mistake of telling him I told my friends he had done this and they were not impressed by him. His response was 'go tell your friends to go f**k themselves

Must get very expensive for people if every "luxury" item they buy for themselves has to come with an equivalent purchase for their partner! Our budget wouldn't cope!

Actually, I wouldn't be really hurt but would be a little disappointed as I suppose I would expect DH to get me something from a trip especially if he got himself something. I would feel a little sad if he hadn't thought of me.

awomancalledhorse of course your not odd,the one time I did buy DH some aftershave it was Armani Diamonds and he did not like the smell,but I did,so I said I won't buy you any anymore. My dad had it in the end and loved it. So we would rather not buy something for each other in case neither of us liked it.
