AIBU to use dh's ex girl friends name for my baby?

DH has been in 3 long term relationships.

Me, and two girls with the same name. Charlotte. By sheer horrible coincidence its one of 2 names we both agree we like for a girl.

The other was used for dd1. As I'm pregnant again (still very early days so don't know the sex) we've come back to the baby name debate and still can't think of any girls names we both like.

Now Dh was with these women for several years one right after the other, I think much to his shame with his friends he actually refered to these them as Charlotte 1 and Charlotte 2.

So with that in mind, woudl it be weird if we had a daughter and named her Charlotte. I'm thinking I couldn't care less now just like the name.. but what if I ran in to one of them with potential dd2? Would it be embarrassing? Are we over thinking it? Would you do it?

he's a pest he even bought our poor son a superman babygrow the other day was thinking this and when i was PG with DD i liked charla its like charlotte but different enought to hopefully not get the looks maybe an idea :)

Names aren't the big deal people think they are in my opinion. My dd was 7 months old before I realised her 2 names were the same as 2 sisters I had nannied for.

My dd didn't get the girls name we had picked for ds1 should he have been a boy and ds2 didn't get the name we had picked for dd had she been a girl.

If you like Charlotte have it. Half the people won't know your husband shagged 2 women called Charlotte and if they do and say anything, their problem.

if DH had ONE ex called Charlotte, i probably wouldnt mind calling my own child the same, but he has TWO, everyone is going to LOL at the fact he has a thing for charlottes

DD shares her name with ExH's first love. It was years ago and it makes no difference. DD is DD and neither of us have given the first love a second's thought since DD was born.

Plus DD is dark and the first love was blond which helps!

(That's not why he's Ex btw )

I wanted to use May as a second name for DD as it's my Grandma's name. DH vetoed it as his girlfriend before me was called "name"-Mae and he thought it would be too weird.
