I havent been on mn for a while and came back the other day to post something and was a little shocked by the amount of people posting with names that contained swearwords....particularly the c**t one Shock

please tell me I havent turned into an old prude since the last time I was here.

OP posts:
youmaynotlikethis · 13/06/2011 02:36

agree with op,its childish and like being on a teen forum!

izzywhizzyletsgetbusy · 13/06/2011 03:38

Exactly strawb. Swear words are merely words, and the more they are put to use the quicker they will lose their ability to shock prudish old cunts. And then we'll have to come up with some new ones Grin

BTW, the South Park episode you referred to may be 'It Hits The Fan' which, sadly, is not available on youtube although there are a couple of links on that site which might produce the goods.

Here's a quick summary!

Thank you Izzy for naming it. :o

TakeItUpTheBumHun · 13/06/2011 10:30

I find your username deeply troubling OP; it resonates with sexual innuendo.
Where does it stop ?

Or I might have a smutty mind be reading too much into it. Anyway both you and your washing machine deserve better. Have you considered counselling or leaving the bastard ?

ZacharyQuack · 13/06/2011 10:54

Does "80sMum" actually mean a mother that is now in her eighties?

PinotGrigiosKittens · 13/06/2011 11:14

Same old thread.

I am almost famous. Grin

Trills · 13/06/2011 11:26

What about KuckingFunt?

(is that how she spells it? it's something like that)

Is that okay because it only invokes swearwords without actuall spelling them out?

DontCallMePeanut · 13/06/2011 11:26

Grin Ooh, bupcakes, can I get your autograph?

DontCallMePeanut · 13/06/2011 11:28

See, I'm not bothered if someone has swearwords in their username. Each to their own. In fact, a lot of the usernames that embody the swearwords are quite intelligent.

bupcakesandcunting · 13/06/2011 11:29

Get in the queue, Peanut. Wink

KuckingFunt and Flisspaps. Both ver', ver' funny and without being a crass nobber, like SOME PEOPLE.

bupcakesandcunting · 13/06/2011 11:29

"In fact, a lot of the usernames that embody the swearwords are quite intelligent."

Yes, I am, aren't I?

Grin
Punkatheart · 13/06/2011 11:31

But we are childish. Our days are spent being responsible, looking at big pants in M & S, keeping the peace, juggling jobs. So to let out the corsets, let off steam - even just left off - it's the least we deserve.

At Christmas - I laughed myself silly at Anyfuckerforamincepie. It was funny, witty and ironic. You see, swearing - the anglo-saxon - has been around for a very very long time. Chaucer used the word Cynte. Do it with verve, do it with wit - swearing is very funny and can be really powerful. I agree that all the time is dull and a mother shouting obscenities at her baby - not good.

But bollocks! Lovely to let rip.

DontCallMePeanut · 13/06/2011 11:42

*"In fact, a lot of the usernames that embody the swearwords are quite intelligent."

Yes, I am, aren't I?*

Right you are, dearie... Hmm

And I agree with Punk... Oh my god... I need to stop agreeing with people...

bupcakesandcunting · 13/06/2011 11:50

It was a JOKE.

What is UP with people today?

fearnelinen · 13/06/2011 12:00

I just had a man round sorting out my kitchen and i couldn't stop swearing. I blame this thread. I even said "it's all fucking shitty bollocks" Shock I don't know what came over me!

reelingintheyears · 13/06/2011 12:34

Caininthepunt was the best name i've seen on here.

Not seen for ages now.

reallyshouldnotwearjods · 13/06/2011 12:38

I have the biggest potty mouth in the world - nothing wrong with the odd fuckityfuck here and there tbh, I love swearing at the DH as he hates it, so it makes me do it more Blush

as for user names - well erm we choose what we want to be and some want to be cunts obviously (tounge in cheek)

DontCallMePeanut · 13/06/2011 12:41

*It was a JOKE.

What is UP with people today? /*

And I was TEASING,

What is UP with... Oh wait... Wink

Primalscream · 13/06/2011 12:46

There's something remarkably childish about m'netters who think swearing on the internet is in some way 'edgy and cool' - it's honestly pathetic.
I cringe when I see posts saying things like - 'you can't say fuck on netmums' oh wow big deal, maybe they don't want to sound like Liverpool dockers - maybe they have more class.

reallyshouldnotwearjods · 13/06/2011 12:48

ooops thats me fucked from Surrey then!

Primalscream · 13/06/2011 12:53

I wouldn't have a friend who said c**t a lot in public - she'd embarrass me ( and everyone else I know) - swearing is for special circumstances only, it has more impact that way.

AnyFucker · 13/06/2011 12:53

I am going to cry

Primalscream called me pathetic

it must be true waaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh
