Hello, I am hoping you would have got through to the help line by now but will not be surprised if you haven't!

No one their knows their arse from their elbow. I would write a letter keep a copy and post it recorded and leave it. As long as you have proof you sent the letter and it was received it is up to them to sort it. To be honest even if you called them and spoke to someone I wouldn't rely on them to update it correctly. Bleeding employing idiots to fill their idiot quota!

Write it all in a letter keep a copy and send it recorded so you can have proof it was received into the building! Good Luck!

They are really crap. Just got renewal letter. They have re added dd1 who left home years ago but missed off ds2 who is 16 and put ds1 as 'disabled child'.
Sigh
So since april they have totally arsed up payments. Again.

May I just stick my tuppence in?

Some of you have said we earn over £40K. As I recall when these changes were announced, you only lose your entitlement if one of you is a higher rate tax payer - i.e. over c. £40K. You could each earn £39K for a total of £78K household income and still receive the tax credit.

I realise the OP said her DH alone earns over the limit but the way some others phrased their posts makes me wonder if it's joint household income to which they are referring.

Ignore me. I'm thinking of Child Benefit aren't I?
