i know there will be the usual 'not if you dont have the cash, only if you are completely debt free, pay off your overdraft etc'

But ..... I look the same on every set if photos from the last 5 years holidays, and i swore this year id revamp my wardrobe.
I have lost tons of weight and toned up to a size 6-8 and i feel fab and want to spoil myself.

Now i dont need masses but would like a casual maxi dress, a nice pair of flat sandals, a few tops, 2 new bras, 2 new bikinis and a pair of cropped chino trouser things.

I have made a plan for the next 6 months and will clear my credit card this month (0% runs out and new card starts), pay holiday off, and clear the remaining £400 of my graduate overdraft, all by october.

So AIBU?

Go for it.
Wish I could join you.

Are they ridiculously expensive though?

I lost the weight the only way you can, healthy eating 3 meals a day, healthy snacks and exercise 3-4 times a wedl.
Oh and the most important thing once a week a treat, so tonight i had crispy beef, kung po chicken, boiled rice and chips Grin
back on the wagon tomorrow, porridge and blueberries for breakfadt, followed by another gym session

I'm usually a complete Primark snob, but I needed some cheap holiday things and was very impressed with their bikinis. Thought they might do me for the hol then fall apart, but they are absolutely fine and can be used again. Good range of colours and styles too. Plus as a fellow nurse, I say treat yourself, we spend all week in uniform so save money really Grin

mosschops30 · 04/06/2011 20:14

Grin thats so true,we dont get to buy work clothes, and always feel so shitty in uniform (literally most days)

Well I got mine in the sale and it was about £50 but have now realised that I'm better off having one decent bikini than a few crappy ones.

Heidi Klein ones are gorgeous and sales about to start but they're still £££.

iamabadger · 04/06/2011 20:16

Exactly! I am very well practised at justifying my out of control shopping habits. Which are about to get worse as I am moving into a non-uniform, CNS job Grin

Al0uiseG · 04/06/2011 20:18

Oh dullsville! I wanted you to say you took a pill twice a day, swapped wine for gin and it just melted away.

Yes they are a bit £££ but I'd rather have one or two gorgeous, flattering bikinis than lots of average ones that bag and sag after one week in the sun.

MaureenMLove · 04/06/2011 20:18

Sorry, but I think yabu, to spend £200 on clothes AND announce that you've toned up to a size 6-8! EnvyWinkGrin

Bloody do it and congratulations on your weight loss. Buying new clothes has to be the icing on the low fat cake imho!

mosschops30 · 04/06/2011 20:19

Omg have looked, they are mega pricey. I cant spend £70 on a bikini that i wear for 2 weeks a year!
I have just ordered a few from next, where the top is actually in bra size so will see what theyre like. Only problem is there wil probably be 10 other women round the pool woth the same bikini Hmm

MaureenMLove · 04/06/2011 20:21

Ah, but will they all be wearing a size 6 to 8? Wink

MissBeehiving · 04/06/2011 20:21

I love a Heidi Klein bikini. Fab fit (no sagging) and stay on down the waterslides Grin

MaureenMLove · 04/06/2011 20:21

And don't sit next to me if you're going to Fuerteventura please!

mosschops30 · 04/06/2011 20:23

Oh if only you could lose it like that, sadly not, have dropped 4 stone through bloody hard work, but its deffo worth it, and i feel so much better and my body appreciates it.

Ooh cns job, will you be prancing round in worky clothes Smile

iamabadger · 04/06/2011 20:46

That's the plan! Although in a sauna like hospital I may be wishing I could have my uniform back!

iamabadger · 04/06/2011 20:46

And of course I will require a clip board Wink

mosschops30 · 04/06/2011 21:00

Just worked out i spent £169 Shock

So will sandals bikini and bras im probably looking on £300 altogether, although might live without the sandals
