if you still have to pay then yes put them in!

even maybe just pick them up slightly earlier if you feel guilty? Although i wouldn't (feel guilty).

ah, amazing! I'm gutted my childminder isn't working today so DD is at home with me when I had a lot of work to do. Hadn't realised it was a bank hol until Saturday - DP is working as normal.

Mine's not open.

do it, you can compromise and pick them up a bit earlier and have spent some of the day soucing yummy food for dinner (am thinking banana cake, but that's just because I want banana cake).

I'll kill you, but only because you've found a nursery which opens on bank holidays. I want one of those.

I've done this before, sent mine in for a day when I was on leave, and I just picked her up early so we had time to do something fun (go to the park) before the dinner/bath/bed grind. Everyone was happy.

do it! I used to put my ds into nursery an hour early so i could go for a coffee and read a paper before work. Now i'm a SAHM and i look back on those fond memories...ahh... I'd love a day to myself!x

This makes me sad - I can't wait to have children, but can't right now due to financial reasons. How awful that people who have a DC want to get rid of them!

I felt like you Lily before I had children too. It's easy to judge when you don't have the experience.

OP, lucky you for finding a nursery which is open bank holidays, ours is closed but still have to pay, DD is only in Mon and Fri so we get royally screwed Apr and May, the robbing bastards.

I can guarantee I will not feel like that. Why would you choose to have children, if you just want to stick them in a nursery when your at home. You could have a lovely day together doing lovely things.
