I've had no interest in this story until I read this. He's issued legal proceedings against Imogen, what a shit. Surely this madness has to be stopped now. His name is all over twitter, it's essentially in the public domain now. Can you sue individual twitter members anyway?

Meh- theres only a few choice names suitable for women who sleep with married men, if the cap fits wear it. If you dont want to be branded dont act like someone with the morals of an alleycat.

BimboNo5 · 21/05/2011 13:09

Ive never disagreed that its unfair for him to be protected- however im objecting to the people saying they feel sorry for 'poor Imogen'

izzywhizzyletsgetbusy · 21/05/2011 13:09

This article from the Daily Fail may be of interest to some:
www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1384757/Your-Secret-Life-So-mention-wife-Hugh---fact-drives-Volvo.html

Long after Cecil Parkinson obtained his draconian gagging order, Sara Keays could be found at the High Court patiently waiting to be heard.

On every occasion she was supported by her DF who was a true gentleman of the old school, and I was very sorry to learn of his death.

SardineQueen · 21/05/2011 13:10

Interesting though that the one word you call the man in this, who has certainly behaved worse, what with being married with children n all, is "man slag". So even when you're paying lip service to him being bad as well, you use a word designed to shame and berate women.

Nice.

BimboNo5 · 21/05/2011 13:17

Oh quit with the feminist clap trap SardineQueen, they are both on a level playing field as far as im concerned shes broken no vows but she is a disgrace to other women as well as her self, they are both dirty sketty tramps why hold someone on a pedestal purely because they are not married? They are still willingly cheating on another womans husband/family, and she has slept around with loads of attached men so deserves the bad press simple as that.

TidyDancer · 21/05/2011 13:19

We should feel sorry for Imogen in respect of her not wanting this to become public either. Don't believe what RG tried to lie about in court, she wasn't blackmailing him and wasn't about to expose the relationship. She did wrong, but I don't believe for a moment that she was involved with the newspapers in exposing the story. RG is a manskank. The story would've died a long time ago if he hadn't been suck a cock about the injunction.

BimboNo5 · 21/05/2011 13:22

If she didnt want it to become public she shouldnt have been happily shagging a married premier league footballer player. No brains or morals- boo freaking hoo everyone has a low opinion of her now? Maybe people will think twice about their bedhopping antics now.

SardineQueen · 21/05/2011 13:25

She deserves it while he gets to buy secrecy? It is right that her name is out there and not his? You reserve the full force of your wrath for the single woman but have nothing to say about the married man until prompted?

I don't say this often but I think you have issues, love. Smile

MigratingCoconuts · 21/05/2011 13:29

SardineQueen is right Bimboo, you seemed to be more angry at her than at him and you seemed to taking this a little too personally.

BimboNo5 · 21/05/2011 13:29

Who said the single woman gets the full force of my wrath? They are both dirty fuckers but I really do object to people saying 'poor Imogen' like shes some kind of victim who repeatedly fell on the end of a married mans penis in a seven month period

MigratingCoconuts · 21/05/2011 13:31

You are still missing the point. Its nothing to do with what she did and everything to do with people being able to buy their protection through the courst. Brian could and Imogen couldn't = unfair

BimboNo5 · 21/05/2011 13:33

Unlucky= nobody makes anyone have an affair with a high profile married man....im sure she did have some choice in the matter and realise there are consequences of doing so- same with Briggs, they both deserve to be exposed for the dirty dogs they are

Im a little confused about

  1. why she wants to tell everyone ?
  2. why we feel we have the right to know about some random footballer having an affair?
missmelo · 21/05/2011 13:48

I don't know if I'm fully convinced that he has this protection because he is a man, I'm more convinced its because he has the money to protect his name and she hasn't. While I don't have time for her, she made her bed, she should have to lie in it, I do think that the scoundrel shouldn't be able to buy his anonyomity, its very unfair.

Cymar · 21/05/2011 13:49

I have to laugh at all this and I don't feel sorry at all for anyone who has a family and shags around, man or woman. As for Imogen Thomas and this idiot footballer, well, as the saying goes "If you don't want to get caught, don't shag around in the 1st place". They made their beds, they can now lie in them.

LIZS · 21/05/2011 13:51

I'm not sure she did want to tell everyone until it kicked off. Had it been left alone it may well have died a natural death. I find it hard to symapthise when she must have known the world she was dabbling in but effectively she has lost her right of reply and freedom of expression whilst he gets to pick and choose what is known - hardly equal rights. Now what if his wife went to the press, would he go down the same route I wonder ?

BimboNo5 · 21/05/2011 13:52

Well everyone know who it is anyway so hahahahaha all that trouble for nothing. The world knows about both of their lack of morals.

MigratingCoconuts · 21/05/2011 13:58

exactly, Bimbo!

bochead · 21/05/2011 15:38

Oooh twould be nice if some of the wives of these A$& hats outed them a bit more often wouldn't it?

In all these cases it's the innocent children I feel for most - Dads acting like this hardly means a happy home life behind closed doors despite all the court orders & riches in the land. Often the wife stays for the money and social standing as much as for her children's emotional health. Cast off wives and kids still don't get the best treatment by society either.

Rich men got away with affairs under the stairs in the 15th century & if discovered the OW had to publicly carry the can while he retained his social status. Despite feminism - what's changed? Why are these feckless men not forced by society to own their actions?

Teenytiny · 21/05/2011 15:44

god knows who it is but he shouldnt have been a rat n cheated and she shouldnt be a homewreaker.

vmcd28 · 21/05/2011 17:50

I still don't get why people think he's been allowed to buy anonymity but she hasn't. No, she could have done but didn't. I still don't get the feminist argument that it's a power thing or that it means women are less important than men.
If a famous woman was in this situation, she could apply for an injunction too. It's nothing to do with the man being protected but the woman not - it's probably more simply a financial thing.

tigermummy35 · 21/05/2011 18:33

Heavens above, another naughty boy caught with his trousers down!

TheOriginalFAB · 21/05/2011 18:42

Izzy - Confused. The link is about Hugh Bonneville, not Sara Keays.

MigratingCoconuts · 22/05/2011 17:58

it's probably more simply a financial thing.

absolutely...but still makes it deeply unfair. Why should we be expected to buy the law in this country in this way?
