I've just used some cheap Sainsbo's dental floss and my gums are rebelling. AIBU to think that you shouldn't compromise on certain products - recession or no recession!

Definitely bras- if you have £40, you'll look far better in a £35 bra with a £5 t-shirt than the other way round. I go to R&P. I only have 4 bras, hand wash them, and they have lasted years.

My Gran used to say "never scrimp on beds or shoes, because if you're not in one , you're in the other" Grin

Also, for me- tonic water, t-bags, make-up.

It depends what your 'thing' is. I LIKE cheap wine, cheap dental floss doesn't bother me, cheap shoes are great because you can then buy zillions of pairs.... but vodka has to be decent, and coats.

beds/bedding/mattress (but of course will get offers and research and haggle)
sausages
dairy
coffee
bike helmets
shoes I can get off ebay, anything else I can get off eBay.

(AnonymousBird this place do the same mattresses as a higher price brand, very 'comfy']])
