AIBU?

to be getting increasingly annoyed at some AIBU threads? It

It just seems that (more and more frequently), a hell of a lot of AIBU threads no longer discuss what the OP actually asked.
So many people jump on one word that was used then rip the poster to shreds over it.
Or it turns into an argument about something that's off on a tangent.
And the amount of times that someone explains something very very clearly, but some people still misconstrue what's been said is baffling.

Why do people feel they have such ownership over what others post on this website its a PUBLIC forum?

YANBU about poeople jumping on one word or phrase though and not reading things when people state thing very very clearly yet still people don't read it properly.

People ABU to be scared of posting here or being "flamed" who gives a shit?

IMO its just a forum full of people I don't know - some make me laugh, some annoy me, some are even "slightly unbalanced " at the end of the day I'm not going to lose any sleep as no one knows who I am

There should be a voting button underneath every AIBU post "YANBU" or "YABU" then you could see at a glance if the op is BU or not and not have to bother with the replies.

Anyone who wanted to reply could then natter about anything they wanted to underneath without upsetting anyone else

So you can't go off on a tangent and you can't have a "thread about a thread". What are you meant to do if something in the thread raises questions for you that are tangential but you don't want to be accused of a "thread about a thread"? Do you have to wait a week and then start a new thread pretending that it isn't about the other thread?

Just saw they're actually Moroccan and Monroe - she's named after Marilyn M and he's named after the "Moroccan room" in her apartment where her bloke proposed to her. Thank god he didn't propose in the utility room.

I once slipped on a bannana skin. DH laughed himself into an asthma attack and still refers to it - 12 years later.
