Have you achieved everything that you had wanted to by now?

You know, if you're just sitting there procrastinating, you're not just letting me down? You're letting yourself down. And, possibly, you're letting MN down.

Are you on schedule?

Are you?

Are you really?

Well that sounds positive already. Sounds like you have been through the mill .

EduStudent · 05/05/2011 00:24

Eek! Promise to try harder tomorrow. Well, I don't have a bloody choice really.

nickelbabe · 05/05/2011 11:10

the thread title doesn't work any more.

And I'm not friends with you anymore for reneging on the Spring Meet-up. :(
(and I know you tried to butter me up by sending me a lovely, caring PM, but that was before I found out you weren't going)

Buda - you can't cull book collections! Shock
I'm currently annoyed with my parents (all afresh!) for having got rid of all our books as we grew out of them - i need them now for DC1 (whatever it may be) :(

Buda · 05/05/2011 11:55

nickel - have to. They will take over otherwise and we are about to move from Hungary back to UK. They will go to good homes though. I keep ones I would like to read again. And then never read them again. And buy new ones. Currently have about 20 unread books. Unheard of for me. It's MN's fault. I spend more time here than reading. And I MN from my iPhone in bed.

A habit I need to break.

So. We have far too many books and I need to get rid of some.

nickelbabe · 05/05/2011 11:57

oh, well, moving countried is a bit dofferent.
you're forgiven Wink

I like your 20 unread books! Grin

I have about 2000 unread books BlushGrin

nickelbabe · 05/05/2011 11:59

I've been sent 2 books to review for a magazine.

great fun.
I'm enjoying the first, actually, but I'm not sure how i'll fair with the 2nd one.
(the 2nd is an economics book, iirc....)

neither is fiction.
and I must tear away from MN cos I've only got till next thursday to send off my review!

EduStudent · 05/05/2011 12:05

I think I' might have finished it.

Buda · 05/05/2011 12:15

Glad I am forgiven! Smile And culled books get sold on to other expats with money going to charity. Not many English language bookstores here either so selling books on is great for everyone!

EduStudent - well done you!

I have not done much today. Blush

Got DS up and out to school with all he needed for trip to Prague
Put washing on
Put dishwasher on
Walked dogs
BAck to school to wave everyone off at 11.
Back home
Washing out.
Tried to change address for credit cards. Failed.
Had early lunch as starving.

That's it.

Have a meeting at 2 at venue for our leaving party with the other friends involved.

Then home.

I WILL empty dishwasher.
I WILL bag up the clothes I took out of my wardrobe yesterday.
I WILL go through the next section of the wardrobe.

LadyBeagleEyes · 05/05/2011 12:24

Well, I was going to be nice and try and tidy teen son's room since he's studying for exams just now, but having just entered it for the first time in days, I've changed my mind. It's minging, and I'm not that nice.
I

nickelbabe · 05/05/2011 12:35

sounds like a good system.
win win all round.

Maybe someone should think about opening an English Language Book shop...

I've still not done anything this morning.
but I am having a healthy snack of Peanut Butter on Cream Crackers.

Buda · 05/05/2011 14:50

Yum. Peanut butter on cream crackers sounds nice. I may have some peanut butter on oatcakes. I can't have cream crackers in the house. Eat them. All of them. With butter. With cheese. With jam.

There is an English language bookshop and a chain of shops that sell English language books but they are very expensive. Most people order from Amazon or bring back when travelling. Although I think that will get less as people use Kindles etc.

EduStudent · 05/05/2011 15:11

My housemate just made me a bacon butty because I'm over dramatic irrational in need of a good kick up the bum finding this essay a leeeeetle bit soul-destroying.

Peanut butter is rank.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 05/05/2011 16:03

All that crack whipping yesterday gave me a migraine - so I'vebeen in bed all day!

[throb]

Sad

But I'm back on form now.

[pshaw]

Aww nickely I sent you those words before DH dropped the bomb!!

And Edu - that picture - uncanny!

Ooh Chaos. Migraine. Yuck. Wondered where you were and if you had abandoned us.

Hate that horrible migraine hangover feeling.

Well dishwasher emptied and kitchen tidied
Meeting at party venue done
Washing in
Clothes on bed bagged and labelled
Other section of wardrobe done and clothes bagged and labelled.
Identified a few things to poss take to rummage sale on Saturday
Got all paperwork together for DS's new school to read through and complete forms
Pissed off a friend on FB!

EduStudent · 05/05/2011 17:30

I'VE DOOOOOOONE IT Grin

It's shit, I doubt it's intelligible and I may well have written it in gibberish, but it's done and submitted.

And breathe.

Doesn't want to tell Chaos that it was all down to the whipping as don't want her to get ideas above her station

Buda · 05/05/2011 18:15

Well done you!!!!

Respect!

And I quite understand about not telling Chaos. Although maybe she could do with cheering up?

EduStudent · 05/05/2011 18:17

Hmm. In that case...

Chaos, you wunk with conviction and elegance.
