To wonder if there's a man alive who knows when the bin truck comes, what the kids eat for packed lunches, when school discos and parents nights are????

cos mine doesn't

he's a great dad, but I'm coming to realise he's great when its something he's interested in, eg. football, football and football

he coaches, helps out, fundraises, plays with the boys, absolutely great for 2 sons

but anything else boring and mundane is up to me or else it doesn't happen

I can pin up schedules of the bin men coming, whats happening at school, but it all by passes him

Mine does.

And since I became the main breadwinner I have become a bit deskilled in those things myself. I think my brain only has so much room for information.

When I go to school though the PTA-mamas say things like 'it was really good you sent your husband to help out at the bake sale' which makes me a bit Grin and a bit Hmm

Course they do. Mine does the bins.
Gets up with 5 dc and does pack lunch and gets them all ready for school.
All school stuff is in my diary, he checks it and does his work schedule around it.
He can also do a full weekly shop.
He is barred though from going anywhere near the washing machine because he always gets that wrong Grin

DH puts the bins out. I haven't a clue when they're meant to be put out unless he asks me to do it

DH does the shopping for packed lunch things and even remembers the latest food stuff that dd1 is obsessing about (peperami atm)

He doesn't know when the school discos or parents evenings are, but nor do I because dd1 never brings any of her letters hime from school. I always ahve to check with reception or ask her friend's mums.

He doesn't, however, know where any of the cleaning things are kept or what food the cat is not allowed to eat. Or how to feed the dogs if I am giving them something cooked.
