to consider not going through with this wedding

I am meant to be getting married later this morning. I really love my husband to be and we have been together since university (except for a brief break).

I really wish though that we could just cancel today's huge event and do something more low key. My inlaws socialise in very different circles to me and my family. There are loads of guests coming that I don't even know but they have been invited as it "is the right thing to do".

What would you do? Shall I go through with it because I love him or should I ask to postpone for a more personal do or should I just back out altogether?

I still feel sick...
Nearly time to put the dress on. It wouldn't be good to walk down the aisle with vomit stains down the front, would it?

I wouldn't worry too much Kate, I have just seen Chelsea taking her seat. Just get married then get lashed with her later, you can be the Diana and Fergie of the next decade.

Please can you tell me where you are going on Honeymoon because I have heard a photo of you and DH would be worth a fortune and (not trying to be mean or anything), I could do with the cash.

Well Kate vomit stains on clothing... No. NO. Let's not go there.

Lucyinthepie · 29/04/2011 09:42

Don't bother putting the dress on yet, you've got loads of time. Open another bottle of fizz. Be fashionably late.
If you want a laugh go on Daily Mail and have a look at the shoes Posh Becks is wearing. Grin

LInk to shoes PLEASSSEE!!

KatetheBride · 29/04/2011 09:49

Right not sure I'll be able to post until after the ceremony now. I'll try and hide my phone on my person so I can check in.

In the meantime, I'd really appreciate any hints & tips for getting through the reception (other than making sure my mum isn't chewing gum!)

Kate, when you say it would be hard to back out now.... Are you being threatened? Have you read Lundy Bancroft? I suggest calling womans aid.

Lucyinthepie · 29/04/2011 09:51

Try this for the shoes.

OK, I'm off now. Perfect timing for a long ride on my pony with hardly any traffic. Have fun royal watchers!

Good luck Kate!

Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. Kate's going through hell here and all some can think about is footwear. Honestly, cannot you see that this is a solemn occasion and that mere material goods do not come into it for the 1900 guests who will be no doubt looking forward to sixty-thousand pound bottles of champagne this afternoon??!!

Wamster · 29/04/2011 09:55

Yeah, Kate, make sure you turn the phone OFF during the service and, for goodness sake, do not be tempted to set it to vibrate; the Archbishop won't know where to look!!

Never mind the shoes, what about Princess Beatrice"s hat?

Looks like she has had an accident with a piece of sculpture

welshbyrd · 29/04/2011 19:36
