and give us a break from her skinnyassed cookbooks (WTF?) potty mouth and general swaggering about like a hysteric?

Enough already woman! Please just give us a break, what are you trying to prove?

I quite like Apple. Blush

Artichokes · 27/04/2011 12:30

LittleOneMum - it is not true that Gwyneth and Chris are never around. I find her as annoying as the next person but I also know she generally picks Apple and Moses up from school, Chris generally takes A to ballet, G & C have normal mum and dad friends at the school and turn up for the plays and the recitals etc. She may well have nannies and night nannies and chauffers and PAs (all of which allow her the time to bake and blog and annoy us all) but she is involved and around.

Giselle99 · 27/04/2011 13:31

LaWeasel: there is no age restriction on any first class cabin. All first class cabins have bassinets for under 2s, which won't be there if the airlines banned babies.

I don't mind Gwynnie and Chris. They take themselves too seriously but there are several other celebrities I'd send to Room 101 before them. The only thing they've done that has really annoyed me is naming their daughter Apple Shock Can't even be shortened to something reasonable.

But yes, a sabbatical would be good. She is getting overexposed again.

cornflowers · 27/04/2011 13:36

For all her talk of 'natural' lifestyles she's certainly had masses of plastic surgery, even her eye colour is fake! GwynniePre-Surgery

LaWeasel · 27/04/2011 13:37

Giselle: Actually, I know that Virgin does in some sections to start with. I couldn't comment on any other airline.

(I can't remember which section of course... maybe it's business that you're not allowed Hmm)

LaWeasel · 27/04/2011 13:39

I think it's do with which seats the travel cots/seats fit with.

kickassangel · 27/04/2011 14:48

her daughter's first word was hummus.
my daughter's first word was bollocks

just about says it all.

KittyChat · 27/04/2011 14:57

You are wrong about the 'hummus', apparently.

Her first word was apparently 'agua' - which is Spanish for 'water'.

HRHUrsulaBuffay · 27/04/2011 14:59

Have we mentioned that she's just called her dead grandmother a cunt on TV? Not sure if she's gone up or down in my estimation.

Salmotrutta · 27/04/2011 15:21

Whaaaat? - really HRHUrsula?
Even if said Grandmother was truly awful that must have hurt and angered some family member(s) if she said that on TV! Unless her Grandmother was some psychopathic, murderous monster or something. Confused
What was it all about?

LaWeasel · 27/04/2011 15:23

Does seem crazy.

My very recently deceased grandfather genuinely was a horrible person, but I wouldn't go calling him a cunt on tv because then I'd have to explain why he was so awful. Which would be really upsetting for the family members he hurt.

CURLYMAMMA · 27/04/2011 15:26

Too funny. Agree, I quite like her (well think I'm just jealous of her highlights really) but if you had all she's got, why would you need to fuel all this celebrity shit? Just shut up and enjoy your millions darling.

queenceleste · 27/04/2011 15:54

As OP I have to say I feel ambivalent about dissing a sister even one who is a good few stone lighter than moi.

But may I say Respect to Artichokes for defending their parenting, and for being an A list Insider. Fair enough if I've unfairly dissed her. I don't mind Chris Martin that much, he's a product of his background too. I also feel it must be hard to be married to an A lister.

But calling your grandmater a c* on tv is not good if you're only doing it to get attention. There's no way that was spontaneous, she's too shrewd. And if so, how weird unless she's trying to get rockn roll credibility or summink. Odd
But anyway, I just want her to be less ubiquitous for a bit, let us look forward to seeing you honey in all your glorious beauty and talent, you have both for sure but just less is more

Marking place in the hope of hearing more gossip from LittleOne. Smile

DuplicitousBitch · 27/04/2011 16:05

i thought apples first word was 'wankers' or maybe i dreamed it

WereOffToSeeTheWizard · 27/04/2011 16:16

Sorry I don't get the whole - Oh she makes me feel so inadequate thing?
You feel inadequate against a mult millionaire mum with nannies, stylists, and all the other help ?
Get a grip

BalloonSlayer · 27/04/2011 16:18

Didn't someone on one of the gossip threads suggest that Chris Martin can no longer stand her and stays out of the way when she is around, only seeing the children when she's not there, but maintaining the illusion of ideal family?

LaWeasel · 27/04/2011 16:19

Surely that's all a bit unnecessary? Not like sleb-divorce is a big deal...

Anyway, I do quite like her. If not her blog (which is pretty silly) and I liked her on Glee too!

DuplicitousBitch · 27/04/2011 16:28

apparently they can't be in the same room because their combined wank co-efficient reaches dangerous levels and was affecting the children. even the hummous had potentially lethal traces of wank after they attempted to do yoga within a 2 mile radius of each other.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 27/04/2011 16:29

Grin Grin

BalloonSlayer · 27/04/2011 16:42

According to BOF (so it must be true) on the other thread (Yes!! I really have been sad enough to look it up):

What musician, despite being married, only sees his kid(s) when he knows his actress wife is not around. He has not lived with his wife for almost a year and she is fine with that. She likes to pretend that everything is still perfect so won't tell anyone. Meanwhile he can't stand to be around her and she drives him crazy.

DuplicitousBitch · 27/04/2011 16:51

i prefer my explanation

LittleOneMum · 27/04/2011 16:55

I'm back Grin

OK, I've just spoken to my nanny and she says that it is true that when they are not working, GP and CM are around a bit and will try to pick up the kids from school/go to activities. But when they are not around, they are not there at all. They definitely have a day nanny and night nanny and also a person who is in charge of all staff - so that if their nanny wants a raise for example, she doesn't go straight to them, she goes to that other person. Also their day nanny is expected to go abroad with them at a moment's notice. By all accounts they are not overly generous or nice to their staff and certainly never sing their praises in public.
When someone asks me how I do it (work + kids) I say "with the help of an amazing nanny" - why can't she do the same?

PS I can't tell you all the juicy gossip obviously....

LittleCheesyPineappleOne · 27/04/2011 17:00

Digested read of GP's cookery book in The Guardian is a bit of a cracker

jeckadeck · 27/04/2011 17:04

god. smug doesn't even begin to cover it. I'm with you all the way...
