Opps I meant Wrong!

ChocolateEggyrolls · 23/04/2011 22:05

On that note did you know that a certain amount of rodents and cats used to be found in beer when it was being brewed? It was because of the grain there used to be many rodents going in for a snack quick sniff and then the co2 would knock out and they would drown in the beer. this was in the days of open containers and pre rodent control so would say up to the early 90's Grin [bublush] [bugrin] [bugrin] no am not just doing the [bugrin] because it looks like buggering

winnybella · 23/04/2011 22:07

Choc- did you miss my post at 21:59 Grin It's true (well, not KFC, but you may well find a rat in your pate or sausage)

TragicallyHip · 23/04/2011 22:07

ChocolateEggyrolls · 23/04/2011 22:09

wouldn't suprise me in the least - so I try not to think about it too much!

MummyTubb · 23/04/2011 22:15

If you buy 'Value pack' meat, you get what you deserve imo.

crazyh · 23/04/2011 22:17

For the people saying i should stop shopping at iceland, i dont, dp did today as i really could not be bothered to cook after having spent the past two nights in hosp with dd an being completeley knackered, and it is very rare i eat processed crap, and never eat mechanically recovered/reformed chicken nuggets or anything for that matter. I was going to have one peice of chicken.

op I used to buy that chicken for DH. He has since stopped eating it as they had huge fat chewy veins in them puke I agree with others, perhaps one of the veins wasn't drained properly.

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 23/04/2011 23:28

Crazyh - nothing to say about the chicken product that hasn't already been said - but if you want to post a link, please do it properly. The instructions are down there || - in the section called LINKS.
V

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 23/04/2011 23:29

Darn - the || bit was supposed to have a V underneath, turning it into an arrow pointing downwards. [bublush]

rockinhippy · 23/04/2011 23:47

Sorry, but YADBU - its meat, its wasn't pre cooked, so not as if you are complaining that you were sold undercooked & therefore hazardous to health Chicken, but that what you bought looks like what it actually is - A COOKED DEAD BIRD - if that repulses you so much, maybe you should give up eating meat Biscuit

hanaka88 · 24/04/2011 06:14

Pfft that's disgusting, but I don't eat meat. If you're going to eat meat you will have to deal with blood sometimes. I don't complain about mud on my mushrooms.
Wash it off (or whatever you can do) or don't eat it.

crazyh · 24/04/2011 07:02

Like i have been saying, I have never seen this before and i personally didnt think it was right, this is coming from the person that on the odd occasion i will have steak i will have it as rare as possible, i dont mind blood, i dont think the pic does it much justice with how much congeled/clotted blood was remaining on the skin (the best part) of that chicken, it would of been like eating a scab. And fyi Stayingdavidtenantsgirl I clicked the convert links automatically thing, but it obvs didnt work. I apologise.

It's ok, I will let you off this time, crazyh - but don't let it happen again. [buwink]
