It is a load of twaddle and purely there for some lighthearted relief but I am hooked! It is my guilty pleasure! I think I know the answer to my question - I ABU Confused

Yanbu! It's hilarious.

It's my pleasure too but I feel no guilt whatsoever! Grin

Champersonice · 21/04/2011 12:54

Ah, thanks for the correction. I have a friend in Thorpe Bay and must say, it is rather nice and plush. Didn't realise Leigh-on-Sea was even nicer!

Your friend will not agree.......heres a dare for you...ask your friend if she def is Thorpe Bay or maybe she is Shoebury....watch her eyes pop out her head in horror Shock

(Actually Shoebury is Ok but Thorpe Bay people do not like their address read as Shoebury)

Champersonice · 21/04/2011 13:04

I already know the answer to that! Btw, my friend isn't a 'she', well it half is -it's a couple I know. And they definitely would not like to say they are from Shoebury! hahaaha I can just imagine their faces now! Shuuutttuupppp!

YANBU. I live in the area TOWIE is set and have to say that these types do exist, in fact they are plentiful around here. I am nothing like that, of course Smile, but I love to watch them and hear their dulcet tones! Will be catching up on last night's episode later.

Megatron · 21/04/2011 13:25

YABU I think it's appalling and can't believe anyone would watch it.

Actually that last sentence was a complete lie. I'm completely hooked and think Joey Essex and Chloe together are pure comedy gold.

EggsOnLegs · 21/04/2011 13:29

yanbu. I love it!!

Champersonice · 21/04/2011 13:33

And when there are such troubles in the world, political debates, doomed economies, wars and anger of the much publicised 'Royal Wedding', isn't it just great to be able to kick off your shoes, sit back and enjoy:

T O W I E ! ! !

Yeehah!!!

I agree Champers. I know I should probably be ashamed but I can't help it! Seeing Joey in his orange Ugg boots and skinny jeans the other night made me laugh like a maniac.

Champersonice · 21/04/2011 13:48

I know Megatron! And how about when Joey and Harry were bashing the ground with sticks (ooh er, that could be a euphemism for something else!!). It says the programme has some scenes set up for the viewers' entertainment but I am certain that it is all set up - it must be, mustn't it??

And I think Joey and Harry will should be the next story!

IMissSleep · 21/04/2011 14:24

Reem! :)

NettoSuperstar · 21/04/2011 14:28

Joey in the orange ugg boots was the funniest thing since he bought too small shoes.
DD and I do impressions of him walking.

Lydia had on some reem purple nail varnish which I will be buying asap.

lololizzy · 21/04/2011 14:31

me too, it's dreadful and cringey and i watch it through my fingers, laughing at the fakery...i always feel better...i mean i'm no oil painting but would i ever need THAT much makeup!? and they're all so stoooopid...

Champersonice · 21/04/2011 14:34

And how about Joey's car? Too funny! And botox parties - the girls are SO young and probably so beautiful under all that fake tan and make-up, WHY are they having botox??

Botox more like Bollox Grin

OP posts:
NettoSuperstar · 21/04/2011 14:36

I've always wanted a Smart Car, now I want one even more.

Champersonice · 21/04/2011 14:38

Netto, make sure you wear the orange Ugg boots and Lyd's varnish to top the look off Wink you will look well reem then!

lololizzy · 21/04/2011 14:41

i recall the scene where Arg was talking to Lydia in her home and she had bright red lipgloss on that was literally sliding off her gob, it was so layered on!! just her casual at home look, i guess...

socka · 21/04/2011 14:45

No carbs before marbs!
If I repeat it enough I may staff away from the Easter egg haul...

lololizzy · 21/04/2011 14:47

what does marbs mean? i need to know!
and all the hair flicking and pouting!!! seriously do some women really act like that?

IMissSleep · 21/04/2011 14:50

lololizzy Marbella!!!

NettoSuperstar · 21/04/2011 14:50

Marbella.

I secretly want to look like the girls from the show, but dress mainly in jeans and Converse and boring coloured fake Uggs.
I do have brightly painted talon nails thoughGrin

Champersonice · 21/04/2011 14:54

Oh no, Netto! Not Uggs Wink It appears YOU shall go to the TOWIE ball haha!

Lololizzy, in agreeance with the hair flicking and lip pouting! I noticed last night, aside from flicking the hair, there seems to be a 'bouncing up' of the hair. I noticed Lydia (dear Lyds!) and then Lauren, push their curls upwards with the backs of their hands.

The saying about marrying a girl like your mum could be true in Mark's case. We all know Lauren is possesive and jealous but what about his family??? Shock gasp, shock, horror!! "What ARE you doing Mark??"

OP posts:
chocadoodle · 21/04/2011 14:58

Love it too! Just watched last night's episode. Joey was so funny taking his hairdryer glamping in his orange Uggs.

I wish I had a Nanny Pat.

lololizzy · 21/04/2011 14:59

The worst, Champer', was the notatallsetup time that Lauren Pope met Kirk in his car after they'd split and realised they missed each other....cue an almost slow motion, sun lit hair bounce swing thang where no one spoke for a few seconds! It was like a 70s hair ad..except hair was real then!

Champersonice · 21/04/2011 15:12

Choc, only cos you want her sausage plait!

Lololizzy, I missed that one waaahhhh!!!
