To wish somebody somewhere has had a shit day too?

Jesus wept, my bloody Facebook newsfeed is full of happy, happy updates about the wonderful, fun-filled day my Mum-friends have had on beaches, in parks, up fucking mountains with their sunny natured and beautifully behaved children.

Please, before I curl up on the floor and start sobbing, somebody tell me that they've been refereeing arguing siblings, enduring endless tantrums, wrestling with over-tired babies, dragging their children home in disgrace from days out? Please? Somebody? Somewhere?

I crashed my car and found a dead bird on my carpet. And my children turned feral. Hitting the wine and chocolate as we speak.

Kallista · 20/04/2011 21:34

I'm ok..but my mum's been at work - which she does enjoy - but she's in pain constantly from spinal osteoporosis and an unhealed fracture. So she was tired and grumpy when she came round, i don't blame her!

I have had a terrible day. Been in bed all day with a migraine behind the eyes and generally feeling quite shit with a suspected temperature.

Glad to know I am not alone either because everyone around me is happy clappy today too!

weedle · 20/04/2011 21:42

I've had a shitty fortnight so far. Had to turn off FB as I was spouting vicious, vicious things on the end of each of the smug cunting bastard lies status updates. Obviously to myself - I havn't hit that low yet Wink

SkinittingFluffyBunnyBonnets · 20/04/2011 21:42

We had a very ordinary day.

If I were to write a fake FB update versus a real one it would read thus

Family fun in the garden! DD and DD had oodles of laughs playing on their new trampoline and helping Mummy do the gardening. I love my familyxxxx

Family Hell in the shitpile behind the house. DD1 pushed DD2 off the new trampoline and laughed when she cried, then DD2 broke the stems off half my baby sunflowers. Then wee'd on the patio. I want a holiday.

thefirstMrsDeVere · 20/04/2011 21:42

My budgie died Sad

NorksAreMessy · 20/04/2011 21:44

It's like Christmas 'round robin' letters. THERE IS NO BAD NEWS ON FB!
You are only allowed to post positive stuff.

Ninx · 20/04/2011 21:45

MrsDV Sad

thefirstMrsDeVere · 20/04/2011 21:47

I am milking it a bit Ninx. I am v.sad but I only found him up a tree last night. He looked like he was going to be ok then carked it early this evening.

Poor little Nigel (postumusly (sp) named by MNers)

molemesseskilledIpom · 20/04/2011 21:48

I've had a shit day too.

Kids arguing, bills not getting paid, received a court cummons for yet something else that exp has overlooked which I now have to deal with as it turns out I am still liable for, my loan has been sent to the wrong account, they are trying to blame me saying I have given them the wrong details when I know for a fact I havent, I'm still without a washing mashine (have you ever tried to hand wash bath towels?) so am washing everything I can in the bath, and to top it all off..I have cried almost constantly today.

molemesseskilledIpom · 20/04/2011 21:49

and I've got a blister on my foot from my shoes.

NorksAreMessy · 20/04/2011 21:51

Sorry for your tweet-loss MRs DV. Our budgie is a serial killer and has seen off two companions. He is now in solitary for the rest of his days. Seems very happy about it.

skybluepearl · 20/04/2011 21:52

I'm feeling very sad today. My toddler has whinged and whinged non stop today and all in front of childless visitors. He dropped his sleep a month ago and can't seem to cope without. He has had a complete personality change and i want my nice little boy back.

B4Beatrice · 20/04/2011 22:00

Mrs Gravy- dont worry.

I managed to provide an inadequate lunch for my friends 20 month old at a picnic today.

And what is more, it has generated five pages of conversation on AIBU.

In fact AIBU to post a photo of the scotch egg in question in order to sway the MN disaprovers?

(Hears a small voice in head telling Beatrice to step away from the computer and move on with her life. Its only an egg) Grin Wink

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 20/04/2011 22:06

My day was so/so.

However my cat had a shit the, the daft ginger wimp got chased by a fecking pigeon.

I am humiliated and sadenned on behalf of my cat

weedle · 20/04/2011 22:07

And now to top it all no-ones answered my WWYD thread in chat

And yes B4 you should upload egg so I can laugh at the people who go 'oh it's not as big as you said' or 'I didn't think it would be like thaaaat' Grin

RIP Nigel

Ninx · 20/04/2011 22:09

B4B you managed to provide entertainment for many lurking, fed-up and bored MNers who agreed with you and were having a shit and / or busy day too. That's an achievement in itself.

(That is how I console myself when my AIBU threads go horribly wrong)

Wait until you drunkenly exaggerate your misdeeds and have the full support and encouragement of the Saturday night crowd only to find the church-going teetotal types baying for blood on Sunday morning through to the next Wednesday Grin

B4Beatrice · 20/04/2011 22:10

Weedle- I so want too!! They have all gone now though Sad.

Cant remember if you said YABU or YANBU?

Honestly, they were a great little lunch! Much more tasty than sandwiches!

Oh well, boring sandwiches next time Hmm

RIP Nigel

Ninx · 20/04/2011 22:10

Oh that bird MrsDV, I'm sorry, I did see the thread but couldn't help.

B4Beatrice · 20/04/2011 22:16

Ninx- I havn't really had a bad day. I was trying to make OP laugh. Obviously not very well!

Anyway I thought my lunch was fine, no body died.

Can not get over how much interest it has generated though. So funny.

I haven't been here ages, and am yet to have bumped into the Saturday night crowd Grin! Sounds interesting (the crowd, not your misdeeds. Well maybe Wink)

weedle · 20/04/2011 22:23

B4 I was the person who was all confused as to if the friend and relative were the same person. Blush I did say if they ate it then surely it was good enough

mitochondria · 20/04/2011 22:26

Oops. I've just put lots of sunny pictures on Facebook. I don't tend to take photos on the days when we are sat in the house arguing about Lego. Perhaps I should!

Ninx · 20/04/2011 22:27

"Arguing about lego" Grin

I'm going to put that on my FB now. Any other gloomy ideas?

Elvisina · 20/04/2011 23:32

We went to the seaside and as my DH and I passed a nice-looking family the man turned to his wife and said loudly: "It's always the same on days out like this. You're just so f**king moody!". Let's just say we both felt this couple's pain as we'd done a fair bit of mutual bickering ourselves (although obviously not nice that this man said this so loudly in front of eveyone). Have to admit I have just finished putting some sunny pics up on fb!
