In my defence, there is no chocolate in the house, they are with my XH this week so I can replace it and they won't know.

I NEEEEED chocolate.

So I have the right, as their mother, to eat The Egg and replace it, NON?

You're doing them a favour really . Too much chocolate is what they get. Wasn't like that in our day. Or maybe our mothers were scoffing ours too??

Welcome to the fold my child.

You can't sink any lower than me, the dcs SN school has eggs donated by the hairy bikers each year, I ave scoffed em. I ave scoffed charitable donations

My mum ate one of mine AFTER I had opened my eggs and gone out to play on Easter Sunday. I still bear a grudge but only because it was my biggest and best egg!

Micro - Shock

The eggs are on the Mantlepiece - I bought them, haven't given them to the kids yet, so technically they're still mine??

Actually, that's a good point as well - they get far more eggs than I ever got, they don't need that much chocolate

YADNBU, someone has bought DS 16mo an easter egg which DH cracked open last night. He hasn't got a clue what chocolate is particularly (i.e. he's had chocolate, but doesn't consider it any more treat-like than grapes or gherkins, for instance) and it's much to big for him to eat on his own. I do feel a little guilty that someone bought it for him intending him to eat it and we are the ones benefitting from their generosity, but to be fair, we will probably enjoy it more than him :o

ivykaty is completely and utterly right Grin

I don't like chocolate, so DS's eggs are safe. Lucky child
