Erm yes I think you are.

Why?

MooMooFarm · 17/04/2011 21:36

Tea is a drink or a light late afternoon/early evening meal.

Dinner is - er dinner!

reelingintheyears · 17/04/2011 21:40

My evening meal is my dinner....

Why the fuck do you give a damn...

southeastastra · 17/04/2011 21:41

couldn't give a stuff one way or the other

Ormirian · 17/04/2011 21:41

Ds2 has inherited the right attitude without me having to teach him. He corrects anyone calling lunch dinner. He recoils at the word dessert and visibly shudders at 'afters'. I think his is channeling his maternal great - grandmother.

reelingintheyears · 17/04/2011 21:44

My Mum calls lunch dinner...

I would be very embarrassed if any of my DC recoiled at her using the word in the 'wrong' way.

Yet you still wish to contribute, lol.

Oooh...

It's 'pudding Grandma, dont'cha know'.

Not dessert or afters.

Get stuffed...

bristolcities · 17/04/2011 21:47

Ormirian I like your Ds2, and of course I agree with him totally.

BamBam21 · 17/04/2011 21:48

You have your breakfast in the morning, dinner in the afternoon, and tea in front of the telly at about 5pm. Supper is a biscuit or toast with some milk.Smile

bristolcities · 17/04/2011 21:50

reeling to much vitriol directed at a child possibly?

reelingintheyears · 17/04/2011 21:52

Precocious is the word that springs to mind..

reelingintheyears · 17/04/2011 21:53

Not the child....

The child didn't write the OP

The Mother did..

chicletteeth · 17/04/2011 21:55

Can I ask why this pisses you off exactly?

YABU regardless

nijinsky · 17/04/2011 21:57

Tea is something you drink. Dinner is something you eat. I very rarely eat dinner til 8pm, after I've done my sporting activities, though I don't rule out the possibility of having an early dinner.

Ormirian · 17/04/2011 22:02

I didn't write the OP reeling.

I think you are taking this too seriously.

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 17/04/2011 22:05

Breakfast
lunch
dinner.

T'is the only way imo

reelingintheyears · 17/04/2011 22:05

It DOESN'T MATTER ......

Why let it piss you off?

FunnysInTheGarden · 17/04/2011 22:06

breakfast, lunch and dinner. The DC have tea at 5pm ish. Supper rarely and only if after 10pm

exoticfruits · 17/04/2011 22:07

I can't see why it remotely bothers anyone!

reelingintheyears · 17/04/2011 22:11

omirian....
You said your child 'corrects' any one who uses the 'wrong' word...

Lunch/dinner..

He 'recoils' at the word 'dessert'

And visibly shudders at 'afters'

I ask........

Is it the parents?

Ormirian · 17/04/2011 22:25

Probably.

Or alternatively I could just laugh at it and only beat him if he is still doing at age 17

reelingintheyears · 17/04/2011 22:30

'Subconsciously inherited snobbery'....

There's something to be proud of.

bristolcities · 17/04/2011 22:30

At least he's got it all right Ormirian, especially appreciating the ''pudding'' bit.

IWantToBeAFairyWhenIGrowUp · 17/04/2011 22:31

I agree with Nancy66 - so YABU Smile
