to ask about quick fix diets? Thinking special K diet?

firstly i should say i don't usually agree with quick fix diets but i might just try one in this situation!

DD2 is 12mo, i fed her until 6mo and since stoppin feeding have slowly gained 1.5 stone! I'm getting married in 18 months and would like to lose between 2 and 3 stone for the wedding.

i had planned on trying to lose as much as possible between now and October then going for my wedding dress. The thing is, i've just won a wedding dress Grin but need to order it soon so i'm going in to pick it in 2 weeks but just want to feel a bit better. I had started a couple of weeks ago and although i've lost 4lbs i just want a wee boost before trying it on.

I don't get much time to exercise and DP is on constant nightshifts for next few weeks. So i've bought a hula hoop and hoping that might help. My main problem area is my stomach, its really getting to me and after two big babies in a short period of time i feel its beyond hope.

So basically, i'm looking for advice, thoughts. Anyone tried the special K diet?

The oat bran is to stop your intestines clogging up completely.

I use beer, wine etc as part of my diet and it seems to work
plenty of exercise, low fat foods, balenced diet and the magic fix a few beers here and their

I also rate the South Beach diet. Basically you detox for two weeks and then reintroduce wholegrain cabs etc. I lost 1.5st in 6 weeks and haven't put it back on, plus you don't go hungry and it gives you daily menus to make it easy though I couldn't eat all the food suggested.

Saggy-does detox involve wine?If not how do you do it?

well just an update, no better quick fix diet than a case of D&V. 7lbs in 2 days and i managed to get a pair of pre baby jeans on that i've been tryin to get into for months.

All i need now is to not eat and avoid all the easter eggs till sunday! Please don't tell me its all going to go back on again! :s

Been on holiday and found myself eating a bonkers amount of junk. Most people diet before they go...no not me, got back and immediately went on this diet...
I did it and it really does work!
I substituted some items or had a combination of things though...
Whole orange instead of 1/2 grapefruit
had cottage cheese and tuna with a sprinkle of lemon juice
had a combination of cauli/broccoli/carrots/string beans - this made my plate more interesting
used a pitta bread instead of toast/crackers - sliced the pitta in half so it made the eating experience so much more longer and giving me time to realise I had eaten.

I also kept the fruit for a snack between meals, so if I did feel hungry there was something to hand before I ended up raiding the kitchen!
The third day I had a headache which I think was because I didnt drink enough water...drink plenty people.

My top tip...
Start the diet on a Sunday, psychologically it feels like you are nearly at the end of the diet before you begin.

This diet has kick started me to think differently about how I eat, its early days though Smile What I would say is the results are great and for anyone wanting to lose weight it is a great motivating one to do.

I dont diet but try to eat healthy food and meal plan. I am.a size 6 so my mean plans work for me. For breakfasts i might have scrambled eggs and a green veg, or full fat kuve yogurt fruit and seeds. For lunch a salad with tuna or salmon or a homemade veg soup. For dinner maybe a small chicken and veg stir fry with brown rice or meat and veg. I have snacks between meals which stops me getting hungry and eating rubbish. For a snack i might have a small bowl of nuts or half an avocado or veg sticks and humous. I put list of olive oil on everything which i thinks stops me craving bad fats.
