I had a season ticket in the Kippax stand for 6 years Grin. (Then I got a boyfriend & had better things to do with my Saturday afternoons than go to the football with my dad & brothers!)

Georgimama · 16/04/2011 21:24

I am not very interested in football, but this delights me. I think Rooney (I think he wasn't playing, but who cares) is an arrogant little twunt and most of his team mates are no better. And I loathe Ferguson. So I am very happy to hear this.

SeymoreBunnies · 16/04/2011 21:25

DH is a city fan (born and raised in manchester) and I have had to put up with years of sulking and throwing strops over lost football matches.

I wish I had filmed his victory dance.

YANBU!!!

Woop woop! Blue Moon rising! Grin

Missed most of game taking baby ds to emergency docs. Game on in waiting room, two very rough looking women opposite clocked DH's city shirt and were throwing out the evils ffs. I was just praying utd wouldn't score when I was sat there! They prob would have lamped one of us.

Also, pre-hospital trip ds had vommed all down his city shirt- was hoping it would not be prophetic! Have waited all my very nearly 33 years to see some kind of success! Very pleased in the saucepanman(c) household tonight. Blue moon rising!

feedthegoat as an aside, we have the goat's autograph on ds2's baby sized shirt. What a legend Grin

ilovesooty · 17/04/2011 02:27

City fan of many, many years standing here...and I'm so delighted I haven't stopped grinning yet.

mankyscotslass · 17/04/2011 08:33

Got woken at 2 by lads coming down our street singing "Blue Moon".

We didn't mind. Grin

BIL (vocal and usually abusive red) has been strangely absent on facebook. Hmm Grin

Everyone knows the truly important match is on today. Bolton-Stoke. Come on Bolton!

Another long suffering City clan here. Dd nearly got flung through the ceiling at full time Grin Glad to see other 'bobby mancs' fans. He always comes across as a lovely, unassuming bloke in his interviews (oh, and I wouldn't say no either). Love to think of everyone 'doing the posnan' in their living rooms GrinGrin

dreamingbohemian · 17/04/2011 09:06

So Liverpool fans, are your boys going to lose on purpose to my beloved Arsenal today, just so they still have a chance at keeping Man U from overtaking your title count?

My friends from Liverpool swear that they will Grin

squeakytoy · 17/04/2011 09:07

I am going to be so torn if Bolton win. I have been a City fan all my life, but lived nearer to Bolton, and my dad and all his side of the family were born there and were Bolton fans.. :)

KenDoddsDadsDog · 17/04/2011 09:08

Always think it's weird when people hate other teams more than supporting their own.

dreamingbohemian · 17/04/2011 09:11

I think 'anyone but man u' is not a childish response to winners but a fairly common response to high levels of twattishness.

I don't hate Chelsea or Liverpool, I don't even hate Spurs as much as I should really, but I can't abide the likes of Ferguson, Rooney, Nani, Ronaldo before he left, all so arrogant and petulant.

I love Ryan Giggs though. If every United player was like him, I'd have no problem with the lot.

MigratingCoconuts · 17/04/2011 09:24

dreaming...if we lose, then that is what I'll claim we were doing! Wink

and Grin at this : a fairly common response to high levels of twattishness.

Ronaldo is one of the worst spoilt brats out there. I always liked Cantona, nuts but oddly poetic.

Manky and points dreamingbohemian in the direction of sleb twaddle.

Anyway, it's just nice not to be on the receiving and of the grief we usually get from DH's red family for once!

DH is so good, he just sits and dosen't say anything back to them, it's not worth the grief. So it's nice to know that he could say something back to them for once, but won't.

He always did say the view was nicer from the high ground!

purepurple · 17/04/2011 09:29

YANBU
I love it when Man U lose.

dreamingbohemian · 17/04/2011 09:31

My boy's favourite stuffed toy is named Cantona Blush

I really do dislike Manchester Utd, and it isnt just because I am a City fan.

It is Fergusons arrogance that I cannot abide. Just looking at his bloated, piggy, gum chewing gobbed, face is enough to make my teeth itch. :)

I love Ryan Giggs though. If every United player was like him, I'd have no problem with the lot

he has allegedly been a rather naughty boy lately.. according to lots of internet sources....

dreamingbohemian · 17/04/2011 09:45

nooooooooo not giggsy!!!

seriously what is with these footballers and their cocks?

the man played for like 75 years without getting a red card, you'd think he'd have some discipline

squeakytoy · 17/04/2011 09:48

I know.. if it is true then I am quite saddened as I always thought he had a bit more about him than most of todays players.

MigratingCoconuts · 17/04/2011 10:06

pmsl Adversecamber I would have liked to have seen that!!!
