If people did that it would be ridiculous - smacks of insecurity and this should be a place where anything can be debated surely.

hairfullofsnakes · 14/04/2011 23:31

Lol to pigeltmania Grin x

SolarPanel · 14/04/2011 23:31

Agree it would be more polite to normally keep FF/BF threads to the feeding section, unless they're really more suitable for AIBU, e.g. there's a specific issue or history about which the OP genuinely wants to hear opinions. A lot of them seem so contrived, they're just FF vs BF, which isn't much of an AIBU really.

petisa · 14/04/2011 23:32

hmm suppose so

they should all be rounded up send to craggy island or somesuch

ledkr · 15/04/2011 00:23

I used to get all involved before i realised it was amassive waste of time,it seems to be the same people too,do their babies never wean from breast or bottle or do they just have endless babies?

thumbwitch · 15/04/2011 00:30

oh no, not Craggy Island - the Fathers would all die of shock! (I know one already has, btw).
Send 'em to a disused pit where they get no wifi signal. Much better plan.

Love the phrase "sanctimonious fuckbucket" Grin

LDNmummy · 15/04/2011 00:41

YANBU OP, been thinking the same thing for a while now.

scottishmummy · 15/04/2011 00:54

in life and online things will be said you dont like, dont agree with so

  1. contend and dispute.expect it to be heated.dont whine when disagreed with
  2. ignore and hide thread.after all it is words on a screen.just anonymous rattle tattle.it only has the significance you give it
TandB · 15/04/2011 07:29

Just laughed out loud at Buttonmooncup. Will have to employ that tactic in future!

Re: the island. Great idea. My friend and I used to have an imaginary island where we promptly despatched anyone who annoyed us. Unfortunately it quickly became standing room only, and the last time I checked there were people hanging onto the rocks off the coast and kicking frantically stay attached.

We could probably conduct a census and see if anyone might be allowed off the island to make room for new inmates....

thumbwitch · 15/04/2011 07:36

kungfu - if it was an imaginary island, why didn't you just imagine it bigger?? Grin

TandB · 15/04/2011 07:48

[wonders why that never occurred to them]

I think it was probably because we spent so much time sending people off to the island that it quickly became very well imagined and it would have felt wrong to change it!

scottishmummy · 15/04/2011 08:52

island!yes big ole you go,you dont leave, wet, windy, with no internet access so the fuckers cant post their rabid rants

Good point re: internet access, scottishmummy. I can confirm there is no broadband as we never sent the imaginary BT men to lay the imaginary cables and install imaginary access points.

Should be safe enough.

Goblinchild · 15/04/2011 09:10

Choose a Scottish island, the 80 mile an hour winds in the winter will cull the skinny and friendless and there will be more room to relocate others.

scottishmummy · 15/04/2011 09:13

a wild windy dreich place, any mutterings of feeding "research" is insurrection and you get to clean the cludgie with your own toothbrush

TandB · 15/04/2011 09:14

SM - I am actually starting to have strong suspicions that you may be my co-island-inventing friend - she is Scottish, and she had remarkably similar views about the weather and regime on our island!

scottishmummy · 15/04/2011 09:18

tough love on the islands.oh fuck it no love. feeding zealots deserve our pity not our love.

TandB · 15/04/2011 09:22

I am actually a little concerned about the conditions on our island, come to think about it - we sent an unsavoury mutual acquaintance there some time ago and I suspect she may have instigated a totalitarian regime.

Oh well, perhaps it is time they had an influx of new blood.

noodle69 · 15/04/2011 09:37

Anyone that cares that much about how someone else feeds a baby really needs to go out and hang around in a non parent situation and let their hair down imo

FunnysInTheGarden · 15/04/2011 21:54

oooooh Leonie. No you ain't speshul, you are a nut job. HTH
