Bliemy, that's £10 more per week than I pay my cleaner for 3 hours work!

gorionine · 13/04/2011 08:30

Do you realise you might just have named and shamed that person when it is really likely it was a typo?

I am not a member of "childcare.co.uk" but can read that ad name and all when I click on your link!Shock

moogster1a · 13/04/2011 08:40

Why don't you like childcare.co.uk gorionine? ( not asked in an arsey way, curious)

OP posts:
gorionine · 13/04/2011 08:44

I did not say I did not like it (At least I do not think I did)Grin
I said that even though I am not a member of it I can clearly see the ad and this ad has got the name of the person who is advertising on it. By linking it on here you "name and shame" that person as a slave driver when it is likely that the £45 is a typo.

moogster1a · 13/04/2011 08:52

sorry, obviously lost the ability to read for a moment.
I'm not sure it is a typo though. She didn't respond to a message from me, and she hasn't changed the details of pay. maybe she's not been online since ( trying to give the benefit of the doubt)

OP posts:
Portoeufino · 13/04/2011 08:57

Blimey - I used to pay my cleaner more than that for 5 hours cleaning and ironing. I hope it is a typo.

gorionine · 13/04/2011 09:05

Maybe it is not a typo but I would give her the benefit of the doubt before putting her name on here.

What message did you send her? was it to ask more about the job as if it was for yourself?

The reason I think it must be a typo is that she seem to be pretty "au-fait" with qualification and ofsted registration, surely she has made some research and must know that £45 for a 28 hour week surely is not the going rate. I'd say typo or VERY deluded person.

GKlimt · 13/04/2011 09:35

Typo or not. You have named this parent on a public internet forum.

I think that you should ask for this thread to be removed ASAP.

Just read it, and she is about 10mis away from me!!

nethunsreject · 13/04/2011 10:07

Bloody hell, that is appalling!

It's like the victorian era.

GKlimt · 13/04/2011 10:18

Er, 'Reality' she named herself on another public forum for a specific entirely reasonable cause not to be ridiculed or to suggest that she was looking for ''slave labour''.

''Calm down'' - who are you Michael Winner?? Or a smart arse teenager??

gorionine · 13/04/2011 10:20

siobahnagain, you beat me to it!

gysela · 13/04/2011 10:35

Why should the thread be removed? Childcare.co.uk is not a private forum is it? There are even buttons for sharing on facebook and twitter.....

BertieBasset · 13/04/2011 10:46

Doesn't the add say she last logged on on the 11th? So she won't have had chance to alter the details.

Really think you should get that post removed.

gysela · 13/04/2011 10:52

Yes Bertie but childcare gets lots of hits everyday. In the past two days thousands of people would have seen in. What difference does it make? If it was a typo she will go back and correct it and the OP will post back on this thread I hope....

heliumballoons · 13/04/2011 10:59

I read the add OP has reprinted at the top of the page and immediatly thought childcare.co.uk had been trolled. Blush

It can't be a serious add can it? Even for £450 a week? It states they want someone so they can have family time yet the childcare arrangements are for every day after school until bed, Saturdays with possible evening and night and sometimes the same on Sundays. Hmm

This family must have a lot of midnight feasts!!

Thats without the rest of it.

gysela · 13/04/2011 11:01

I would be more worried about the facebook and twitter buttons on the childcare site than a link on mumsnet tbh.

gysela · 13/04/2011 11:02

You've got a point there helium...

GKlimt · 13/04/2011 11:06

Thanks 'Reality'. Pleased that you've cleared that up now. I'll bear it in mind.
Wink Grin

I think you're missing the point gysela - of course this information from childcare.co.uk is widely available - however using it on MN for the purpose of ridiculing Ms Antoinette Nennee is IMHO bullying/cyber-bullying her.

Also, I note the request for 'expertise in AfroCaribbean cuisines' and slave labour innuendoes could be potentially very distressing. Maybe??

nickelbaalamb · 13/04/2011 11:13

it is a bit weird that she says she works from 9am, but she doesn't want the childcare until 2:45.
I suppose they could be at school, though.

but he evening hours are in case she's working till 8pm, it says.

frakyouveryverymuch · 13/04/2011 11:19

I reckon it's school aged children, probably secondary aged otherwise there would be more childcare after school and the household duties would need more time during the day.

desperatelyseekingsnoozes · 13/04/2011 11:23

You would need to pay me a lot more than that just to live in Rochdale never mind run around after your kids and pick up your shit.

gysela · 13/04/2011 11:32

I get your point siobhan....ridicule was not the first thing that came to mind when I read the OP. Although now when you shed a light on it I can see it from that angle
