to get so cross with people who park in parent and baby spaces when they haven't got kids with them?!

...I need to get over it, don't i?

I get sooo furious when someone pulls up into a parent and baby space when i have to keep driving round and round until i find a space big enough to get the car seat out. Angry
Then i find myself glaring at said driver, gearing up to have it out with them, ("these spaces are for parents with babies, don't you know??") before chickening out and calming back down.

What's wrong with me?! But, uh, it's so unfair. I don't care about being close to the shops, i just need to get my pushchair out.

And should i give old people a break for doing it? No! I figure that if they can't walk from a normal space to the shop doors, how do they get round the shopping centre?!? I'm being unreasonable aren't it? Blush

PS - I wouldn't feel cross if a disabled person did this, or someone with a genuine extenuating reason. But everyone i see doing it just seems to be lazy!! Lazy i tell you! Pah!!

Help! Tell me i'm not the only one who thinks this??

Erm why don't you leave your children in the car whilst you go get a trolley? They should all be strapped in, just lock the car and it will be fine.

Park at the end of a row with the car seat side of the car on the outer edge of the row.
No need for a P&T space.

And even with my death wish 3yo who will not under any circumstances sit in a trolley,I still manage to navigate a car park without him running in front of cars.

Though admittedly most times I shop without him!

I've parked in Parent & Baby spaces before now. Especially if I'm in a rush or if I'm not feeling too good. A few months back I had a dodgy leg and couldn't walk very far so I parked in them then.

it kind of does annoy me tbh but i know thats not a popular thing to admit on here,I had forgotten about it untill had dd2 who is 8 wks and it is hard to get the seat or the baby out in a normal space.I parked miles away today at sainsburys, manhandled the baby out of the car at an odd angle, thought nothing of it untill i passed the p and c spaces and dd1 said "why is that man parked in there,we then watched a presumably fit and healthy 40 yr old man stride into the shop-it was raining and it is hard not to be pissed off a bit.I would rather they didnt bother with them then it couldnt annoy me Grin

Parent /child parking spaces are just a courtesy , not a legal entitlement so it's not worth getting cross over.
They don't exist at my local supermarket so everyone [barring disabled drivers of course] have to take their chances in normal parking spots. Everyone seems to manage, just as everyone did a few years ago.
