AIBU?
...to have booted a bloke's Audi?

Disclaimer: I loathe inattentive drivers. I particularly loathe inattentive drivers wearing sunglasses and Armani while ON THE PHONE at the wheel of their effete stylish Audi convertible.
So was I unreasonable to put a size 7 Alpinestar into side of said car at the lights and indicate my displeasure as best as one can while wearing a bike helmet?
To be fair, he did go as white as his suit and put the phone away immediately :)

People on the phone whilst driving are a major hazard, I agree.
However, I don't think it matters what type of car they drive, size yes. I see so many drivers chatting away on the phone a the wheel of white vans/humungous 4x4s, hatchbacks, you get the picture.
You are lucky he was a wuss and was scared rather than someone who either walloped you one for damaging your vehicle or called the police. Because them being on the phone would be hard to prove, your footprint? Not so much.

If his actions were placing you in danger and it was the only way you had to alert him to your presence, then you were not being unreasonable.
If you wanted to tell him off about using his phone, etc, but you were not at risk of coming to some harm due to his inattention, then a knock on his window and some very clear signalling would have done the trick.

I wonder how much damage you caused and if you could be identified and arrested?
I drive an Audi, its bloody gorgeous. It doesn't effect my driving in any way though.
Sorry, I think yabu. He was a twat to be on the phone, but criminal damage isn't the way forward.
