I have been reading a few threads this morning about people that are in shops and other people making comments about their child's behavior.

Some were playing with toys in tesco, and another was child rolling on the floor in a fabric shop. Each comments were made to them by other people.

When I am out shopping or indeed in work [i work in a large store] and see what appears to be a naughty child that won't listen to mum or a mum shouting at the child, I think to myself

a....Is he always that naughty?

b...maybe he didn't have a good nights sleep

c....maybe he is hungry.....etc etc etc

d.....maybe mum is tired

e..... maybe mum feels poorly

f....... and a dozen other things.

So if you see a scene in a shop think twice and have some sympathy there could be a good reason why tensions are high at that certain moment.

Bucharest - there was a thread I posted on last night about ageism on mumsnet. It's the thing that annoys me most.
I did comment on the toddler in the supermarket, but only because of the comment 'old bag', the woman was in her 50s for fuck's sake.
Most women of that age have had toddlers, and know the score, I have only ever been sympathetic to any mum in that situation.
You can tell I'm in my 50s can't you Smile.
BTW I have a teen ds, so I know not to judge, as some of the things said about teens really pisses me off.
