dog owners in the playpark

Me and ds went to the play park which we regularly use. He loves the slide and plays on it the most.

Today while he was playing on it another mother who decided to bring her dog with her let her dog pee at the bottom of the slide and walked away.

I was really angry as my son was using it at the time and could see he was using it. I thought she'll clean in up surely, but when she walked away i grabbed ds off of it and went after the woman. I said you saw that my son was using that slide and you let that mut piss on it and didn't even clean it up. To which she replied "aye and what!"

So i thought i'm not letting this go, i wait until she left and followed her home, got her address and called the police. Hopefully she gets a nice big fine!!

was ibu?

yanbu. Wish i had the time/nerve to do something like that. Well done!

ditavonteesed · 28/03/2011 18:39

what did the police say? nobody will do anything about the wee. the only way the woman will be introuble is if it was an area that dogs are not permitted in.

scuzy · 28/03/2011 18:39

scuzy · 28/03/2011 18:41

if anything i'd report you for following me home!!!

goodbyemrschips · 28/03/2011 18:42

suzikettles · 28/03/2011 18:42

Really dita? If your dog pissed all over the bottom of a slide so that children sliding down it would get their trousers all covered in dog's piss you'd do nothing about it?

Nice.

scuzy · 28/03/2011 18:44

i definetely would have been pissed off (no pun intended) if i were in your shoes and would have said something

BUT

following her home and ring the police is mental!!!!!

suzikettles · 28/03/2011 18:44

You don't need to take paraphernalia with you to clean up your dog's piss because you Don't Let Your Dog Piss All Over Play Equipment.

(If you're not a complete arse)

scuzy · 28/03/2011 18:45

agree suzikettles

LunarRose · 28/03/2011 18:46

You followed her home? Shock

All for commenting very loudly and making objection known asking her to clean up. But stalking/following her home is just plain weird! Confused

scuzy · 28/03/2011 18:46

still want to know what the policeman said ... any comment on how you got her address to report her?

nailak · 28/03/2011 18:46

ood on you, i wish more people were like you#!!!

scuzy · 28/03/2011 18:47

christ!!! are you all seriously ok with her following her home??????????

ditavonteesed · 28/03/2011 18:47

exactly suzi, I am agreeing that it is grim and I would not let my dog do it so i would not have to clean it up, I do not clean up dog wee though (unless it is indoors obviously. who cleans up the squirrel piss in the pARK?

goodbyemrschips · 28/03/2011 18:48

When a dog wants to pee he pees.

But play parks around here are fenced off so no dogs go in them.

Following her home could have been a bit dicey if she saw you but well done for having a go at her.

I would lobbythe council to get them to ban dog owners from the park altogether (or at least where the kids play area is). That then will have a positive outcome (hopefully).

scuzy · 28/03/2011 18:50

i give up!

mummysgoingmad · 28/03/2011 18:50

my friend who also lives in the same street as me took my ds, we were going to her house anyway to play on the trampoline. so no i didn't put my ds in danger i stayed well back and called my mum so it didnt look like i was following her.

it isn't hard to take a packet of wipes out with you if you know your going to a park, and even if she didnt intend to go to the park theres a line of little shops right next to the park, she could of went in and asked for some paper towels
