YANBU but that never works with mine.

worraliberty · 25/03/2011 21:40

That's if it works that way.

Some kids are like regular little alarm clocks and will always wake up early no matter what time they went to bed...they just become more crabby as the day goes on Grin

Sassybeast · 25/03/2011 21:40

YANBU to try but I've given up trying this tactic as mine wake up at exactly the same time but are just grumpy...

2cats2many · 25/03/2011 21:41

It never works with mine. They wake up at the same time in the morning anyway and are seriously pissed off all day.

MrBloomEatsVeggies · 25/03/2011 21:41

Ah, but you know they'll still wake up at the same time the next morning. Also they'll be really grumpy all day from being knackered!!

I would give my left little toe for a lie in!

Happymm · 25/03/2011 21:41

Same as Sassy but good luck with it! Oh for a lie-in!:o

Grin
nevergoogle · 25/03/2011 21:43

dd wakes at 7.30am every morning, regardless of what time she goes to bed.

would love it if that actually worked!

which nevergoogle are you? zombiejuice or dragonbutter? :)

NorthernGobshite · 25/03/2011 21:45

It never works for me. dd will still be up too darn early! and tired and grumpy.

cherrychoo · 25/03/2011 21:46

backwardpossom · 25/03/2011 21:47

It works for me. DS has just gone down - he wont wake until 10am. Grin

nevergoogle · 25/03/2011 21:54

i'm watching you meright

fuck, it's gone quiet. i knew they'd drop eventually.

i'd love to prove you all wrong.

OP posts:
thenightsky · 25/03/2011 21:55

It always worked for mine Grin

bellavita · 25/03/2011 21:57

It never worked with mine.

Although as they get older it does get a lot better.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 25/03/2011 21:58

Late nights result in lie ins 3 days later for us!!

So start late nights on a Wednesday and you'll get a lie in on Saturday Grin but 2 days of miserableness inbetween Confused

Your choice Smile

MeRightYouWrongMeBigYouSmall · 25/03/2011 21:58

we'll be proven wrong when you tell us what time they get up in the morning

love that feeling though, friday night, dd in bed.

I end up going to bed early anyway because it's DH lie in tomorrow - i get the sunday

toddlerwrangler · 25/03/2011 21:59

See, I on't get this! All I do is wake up tomorrow, then put the clocks forward, so 7.30am becomes 8.30am. And voila - I have had a lie in! Yay me.

messagetoyourudy · 25/03/2011 22:03

Waking at 7.30 no matter what time they go to bed would be bloody lush!

Mine eldest has taken to waking at 6am lately - just had a big row with DS1 that he can't come in until 7am and if he does he doesn't get an ice-cream tomorrow. Fingers crossed the bribe works......not holding my breath though.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 25/03/2011 22:03

mrywmbys I have a sunday morning lie in too Grin

Good plan toddlerwrangler but we're going out tomorrow night Shock and if I move the clocks early then I'll get v confused if I'm meant to be there earlier or later than my watch says!!

nevergoogle · 25/03/2011 22:09

this is my only chance for a lie-in tomorrow and if DH wakes me up on his way out there will be trouble.
