I don't know what to use!

I'm 38 with two DC...I reacted very badly to the pill as a younger woman...tried many kinds over the years and found they made me feel sick...put on weight etc..and hven't used it for about 8 years. I can't ABIDE the thought of a coil or an implant and assume the injection would make me sick like the pill.

After DC2 who is now 3 I went right off sex and so contraception was barely an issue...but now I'm back to myself and don't know what's best.

At the moment we use condoms but neither of us likes them and we had two occasions lst month where we failed to use them.(stupid)

What can I DO? Dh mntioned himself getting the snip but for some reaon I don't like the idea! I don't think he's that keen either.

Mirena coil.

This has given me my life back, no periods at all. I couldn't leave the house for 2 weeks a month.

Sod the contraceptive effect.

Please go to a contraceptive service ( that’s my jobSmile) contraception is very much trial and error as we all produce different levels of progesterone and oestrogen to each other meaning some women find one method excellent where as others experience side effects.

I have had tons of ladies who have cane and said they don’t react well to certain types of contraception, if it’s a pill for example, I would suggest upping or lowering either the progesterone or oestrogen levels in the pill ( there are tons to try) together we can usually find one that works for the patient. The same goes for implants, injection and coil, they are all progesterone based but different types of progrstrogen so If for example you hated the implant you might really like the injection or visa versa if that makes sense. It’s all about choice and sometimes trial and error, then there’s non Hormonal methods as well, the copper coil is very popular at the mo. Just remember what works for one doesn’t always work for the other

Hi

Can anyone give me advice on housing benefit?

Am a single mum of 2,my son is 19 and my daughter is 8,i work part time 21hrs per week i have always been in receipt of housing benefit but now my son is 19 they have stopped my claim and said i am not entitled to any HB now

Since leaving school in 2016 my son when straight into an apprenticeship for 2 years he was on £3.57per hour,HB say i owe them £6000 odds for this time, which i dont understand.

I am already behind on my rent and this has set me back even further,i am having sleepless nights wondering if i am going to loose my home.

I dont understand why or how i can possibly pay full rent on a part time wage.

Please any advice?

Thanks.

Rhythm and withdrawal method. I'm not suggesting anyone does this as a serious contraception if they really don't want to get pregnant, but it's worked for me for 9 years. I have very regular cycles and know when I'm ovulating though, and getting pregnant wouldn't be the end of the world at this point.

Hi @usernameXTX - you need to repost this in your own thread - you have posted on an old thread about contraception. Find a topic like maybe "money matters" and start a new thread there.
