To really not want a Bugaboo purely on the basis that EVERYONE has one in my area!

I did so much research and had decided finally on a Bugaboo Bee over the Baby Jogger City Mini after DP and I finally popped into Mothercare and loved it.

We live in London and it seemed perfect. But we live in Islington, and wherever you go there are packs of Bugaboo mummies moving from park to cafe looking like little groups of alien ships with humans propelling them.

We were sitting at the park yesterday and watching all of them go past I just finally had had enough. So now I am back to square one, AIBU?

Second vote for the Stokke Xplory, though I haven't been able to look at mine in the same light since someone on here said it looked like an internal mail cart.

It does.

But it's a great pram and I'm expecting to be able to sell it for at least half of what I paid for it after many years of hard service.

Just get a maclaren - all those bugaboo mummies will end up with one anyway as they won't want it scratched when they go on holiday!

YANBU, I'm in north London too and I am the only mother of a baby I know that doesn't have one. I got a city jogger mini or whatever it's called. It's ok. And better still it didn't cost £800+

Crap yes ... but very very obscure - I think I just remember it from some Restoration play or somesuch. Tho I think is also Irish slang? Anyways, don't suppose most people would notice and those of us that do enjoy the joke innit!

Yabu, bugaboos are great!

BlooferLady · 24/03/2011 21:15

Lockets cos if you are forced to walk in the gutter by two mothers blocking the pavement whilst braying about the frightful cost of au pairs these days, steadfastly refusing to meet the perplexed gazes of people trying to shuffle past, you can bet your bottom dollar it's Bugaboos that are their weapons of war. Can you tell I'm scarred by living in/near Crouch End and Muswell Hill? Grin

If you are concerned about being individual than go with earlier suggestions about customising it? Snunkie or hugely cheaper than Bugaboo's accessories and much better.

I have a Bee,bought for dd recently, more often than not people ask me what make of pushchair I have.... they don't immediately go Bee bleurgh where's your chelsea tractor then? They are more impressed with the pretty skull covers Grin

Finally, yes they are a ridiculous price but I do think they are worth it - although if you were looking at a Cam I'd pick the much cheaper vigour over it every time), but the Bee is excellent for a small pram. And you can get decent deals to, I managed to knock Mothercare down from £479 to £370 by asking nicely Smile Wink

are hugely cheaper ....gah!

One of the reasons I got mine was to whizz round the 3 abreasters who talk, drink lattes and mainly GET IN MY FUCKING WAY!

It comes to something when you can identify other women by their arses as you have spent that much time behind them when you need to be somewhere else.

They are also the same ones who do this Hmm Hmm Hmm when I take dd out in her sling on my back Grin
