Me and DH were very stupid last night and forgot to lock the bag door (although in our defense the baby was in a state with chicken pocks and crying for hours on end).
This morning about 5am I heard some weird noises in our hallway but in my half sleep I thought it was the cat/my 4yr old pottering about (she is a very early riser and often does this).
At about 6am DD came in and said 'Mummy the back door is open and it's cold'.
I saw that the back door was indeed wide open and was a bit confused. Then realised my bag was missing. It, and the baby's bag were at the end of the garden and the only thing taken had been my purse - bank cards etc all left.
Anyway, I'm sitting here tonight, really nervous with the doors and windows bolted. I mean it was not exactly heist of the century but I'm freaked out that someone came in and DD could have seen them (luckily she doesn't know anything about it and I hid the missing bag thing from her).
Tell me to get a grip - I don't want to be a nervous wreck about some poor desperate idiot taking advantage of my open back door....
