An old school friend took her son to one today(I noticed via fb).

Why does anyone choose to make their children ill?

My sister and I had CP when we were young and weren't too poorly. My younger brother developed shingles in his back and was bedridden for a long time - he had a compromised immune system from leukaemia though.

DH had CP as a child and has had shingles on his eyelid 4-5 times in the last 10 years. It is a worry because of the risk of blindness.

It may be a head in the sand attitude but I intend to leave it to fate. I couldn't live with myself if I intentionally got DS infected and he developed complications.
