Polierpantoffeln - even the name makes me roar with laughter.

Then I give you: How to hide those unsightly Fairy bottles

And finally, courtesy of BlatherKite's MIL who does not like to see her ugly hoover in the corner.

Does anyone else have any household gadgets that I could add to my collection?

And after you have dressed your washing up liquid bottles and covered your loo rolls, don't forget to put some clothes on your chairs. You don't want them standing in your kitchen, all naked, do you?

Oh God - I own the voodoo knife block AND a banana hammock. Do I have to deregister from MN?

OTheHugeManatee · 10/03/2011 16:06

I secretly quite like those washing up liquid aprons. If only I could get one in the same fabric as my apron I'd be embarrassingly happy.

My Nan use to crochet toilet roll covers, it was a doll, slightly smaller than a Barbie, with a very wide dress, you would stick the legs in the middle of the toilet roll and pull the dress over to cover the paper. I never understood why. The best, which every home should have, was the crocheted swan soap cover. Not very practical but looked very fetching in the downstairs loo, very classy Smile

how to traumatise a child

AmazingBouncingFerret · 10/03/2011 16:23

Oh no Nutella, my DS would love one of those. he would think it was great.

Blatherskite · 10/03/2011 16:25

How about some giant, cuddly germs?

SecretNutellaFix · 10/03/2011 16:27

so he's a gruesome gory child?Grin

Ha ha ha ha - Polierpantoffeln....haven't heard or seen the word Pantoffeln since I lived in germany.

That's really tickled me now Grin

Mme Lindt
clearly the advertisers think that German housewives spend all their time cleaning Wink
They may well do!
I just wish you could get proper old-fashioned dusters here, though. Forget the pink polishing slippers (makes mental note to pop into nearest branch of Tchibo and see if they are available in different sizes....)

I've posted this before a while ago
But I still believe that no animal hating lovers house is complete without one of these

Orbinator · 08/07/2011 20:52

OK, so not quite a household item, but I couldn't resist sharing a special product from the very aptly named Urban Tool. Which is precisely what you would be if you bought one...
