DF and I go into our local Costa every Wednesday morning and sit in the same seats.

The manager adores us and provides suberp services to us.

This morning when we arrives there was somebody on our table.

AIBU to think that he should have told encouraged this woman to sit in the draft elsewhere? Or at least look remorseful for his lack of sycophanticness?

Surely, surely this is a joke? Please, for the love of God. For the record, if a manager asked me to move because I was sitting (in a public cafe, as a paying customer) in 'someone else's' seat, I'd have some choice words for them. If you want to reserve a seat, stay in your own living room.

I think you've misunderstood - its customers not customer, unless you are rich enough and keen enough on cofee to keep them in business single-handed. You can't treat one customer as 'special' if it involves being actively rude to everyone else! I really can't see why you think you are more special than anyone else - hence the comments about your gigantic sense of entitlement!
