AIBU in thinking that Chocolate Weetabix is taking things just a little too far? I thought we were supposed to be feeding our kids healthily!

Neither look too bad to me - 82/83% wholegrain wheat as the main ingrediant.

LadyBiscuit · 08/03/2011 18:14

Chocolate weetabix aren't too bad. They're not very sweet. Krave on the other hand is crack for kids

TeacupTempest · 08/03/2011 18:20

Chocolate weetabix are nice, not like the mini ones. Much better for you then the plain weetabix with layers and layers of full fat milk and sugar on top like my dad has them.

I eat mine with hot milk. What is the big deal?

Most food is healthy in moderation and surely weetabix are better than most....

vintageteacups · 08/03/2011 18:24

Weetabix is prob the most healthy of all the choc cereals.

Someone in my close family works for them and she said last week that they have made the decision that whilst they may not be as sweet as other cereals, they would rather they be the most healthy.

My kids eat the mini weetsbix as a snack without milk.

I'm now addicted too!

DS loves Weetos Vs Aliens

DS1 and DD love Chocolate Weetabix, I dont see a problem with it.

OTOH DS wanted Krave last week and he got a flat no from me. Might as well give him a bowlful of Haribos for breakfast.

I LOVE chocolate Weetabix, kids seem to prefer granola, philistines Shock

BuzzLiteBeer · 08/03/2011 19:57

You could, I dunno, not buy chocolate weetabix ?

Crazy idea I know, but if think a product is not something we should have, I don't buy it. Do you think I should write a book with my inventive life-plan?

Mmm, i'm with buzz. You have the power. While we're on the subject though, i really hate the ad for nutella, trying to make out it's a healthy option for kids breakfasts as it has the tiniest sliver of hazelnut per squillion grams.
I love nutella sponed straight from the jar but there surely fooling no one with the healthy start to the day bollocks.
