hidenseek, so they're getting 2 cakes and you think it's bad - why? Hmm

StealthPolarBear · 06/03/2011 14:36

well...erm....

StealthPolarBear · 06/03/2011 14:37

oh take home again
I thought you meant cheap cake at party & expensive in party bags
Ignore me!

hidenseek · 06/03/2011 14:37

No, they're not getting two cakes. They are only getting the cheap one. But the mother wouldn't show that because she's too concerned with how it looks. Quite happy for it to be sent home though. That's the trashy bit.

HeavenForfend · 06/03/2011 14:37

Party bags have a class structure already? Shock
They've only been around a few years.

YellowDinosaur · 06/03/2011 14:38

I like Charlottebrontesaurus's theory! Only you would notice - the kids wouldn't give a shit and would in fact probably prefer the shop bought tat with plastic icing!

Rannaldini · 06/03/2011 14:38

posh cake for all i say
party bags are common

Merrylegs · 06/03/2011 14:38

WHY DO YOU PUT CAKE IN PARTY BAGS?????

(I have a whippet)

hidenseek · 06/03/2011 14:39

"working class manners" comment is probably from Mrs Hyacinth Bucket

StealthPolarBear · 06/03/2011 14:40

All these years I have been committing huge social faux pases (??)
DS will be 4 next month, please tell me clearly what I need to do

Type of cake?
Made into a cartoon character or plain?
No e nubers, obviously
Candles blown at party?
Cut & served at party?
Sent home?

StealthPolarBear · 06/03/2011 14:40

in party bags or in something else?

YellowDinosaur · 06/03/2011 14:40

I wouldn't put cake in party bags either. Cake is for eating. Not for getting squashed in a bag, sat on and forgotten about only to be found a couple fo months later in some random bag / toy kettle / under the sofa

withagoat · 06/03/2011 14:40

Type of cake? HOME NADE
Made into a cartoon character or plain? doesnt matter
No e nubers, obviously not necc
Candles blown at party? YES
Cut & served at party? YES
Sent home?
IF YOU HAVE TO

i do not and will NEVER do any party bags...

ChippyMinton · 06/03/2011 14:41

It's a class thing?

BTW have you tasted a certain middle-class supermarket's made-to-order cakes? Now that is VILE icing Shock. Must be the organic colouring Hmm

ChasingSquirrels · 06/03/2011 14:42

I don't care what sort of cake my children get given at parties.
I would however be embarrassed if they made any kind of statement about the quality of the cake to the host - that to me would be extremely bad mannered.

withagoat · 06/03/2011 14:42

you dont BUY cakes

they goppeth

OP posts:
CharlotteBronteSaurus · 06/03/2011 14:42

withagoat · 06/03/2011 14:44
