DD number 1 is almost 4 and was a natural birth. DD number 2 and 4 months and was a natural birth. Have total placenta privia and they want me in early to have a c section. I am 45, terrified and crying all the time. Why?

Best of luck, it won't be as bad as you think honest! I had an unplanned section, but it was fine, was dreading epidural, but was it was ok. It is strange having someone fiddling with your innards but it's more weird than grim.... I recovered pretty quick, and that was with 2 days of labour beforehand.
Another practical tip, take some peppermint tea bags, ooooh the trapped wind, that was nasty..........I think it's quite common....
You are completely entitled to a good old blubber though. Hope it all goes well for you, the team looking after me were lovely, I am sure yours will be too.

sending you good vibes, it will all be fine, good luck

I second the lactulose and peppermint tea. I found that doing absolutely nothing except look after your newborn for the 1st week helps in recovery. (2emcs, deffo aiming for a elcs next time!)
Good luck :)

Another postive c-section here! I remember them holding DS above the screen for me to see, then giving him to the midwife (he wee-ed on her), then to me - and we just lay gazing into each other's eyes as they sewed me up. One of the loveliest things was being told the following by my birth partners - he was taken to the recovery room first with them, and I was wheeled in on a bed. They saw him gazing around, then suddenly pausing, and turning his head to the door, and realised he'd heard my voice as I was being wheeled down the corridor and had looked round to see me coming. So as someone said above - do talk to your bump, he or she already knows your voice. Good luck :)

I Loved my c sec!!

Was booked in with DS - was breech. Went into labour 9 days before I was due to go in! Went in at 4, waters broke at 5 and he was born at 6:30!

Was home 2 days later. You'll be fine!!! All over in a matter of minutes :)
