to not like onion tops on my daughters?!

My youngest's hair is about 1-2" long, it barely touches her forehead. She went out for the day with Mum yesterday to play with her cousin and SIL put her hair in two onion tops! I'm not a fan of them in anyone's hair, but fair enough it's your child but I HATE them in my child's hair! They know this I complained enough with my eldest.

Oh and they were in so tight that they were in for two whole days without moving and she cried when I took them out because it was so hard to grip and elastic bands so it pulled her hair!

Don't get me wrong, my eldest's hair comes down her back, she's like me and loves it long, I do a double french plait for school every morning and we play hair dressing where I put it up in different styles for her (not quite like that princess hair blog if anyone's seen it but different things to the normal) but when it comes to baby hair, it needs to be left alone! She doesn't have a lot and it's really fine, what's the point in these silly little bits of sticky up tufts???

YABU I think. It doesn't seem worth getting bothered about. I only saw the first link someone posted and it looks completely ridiculous, the baby hardly has any hair so looks really funny.

YANBU. I think if you don't want your DD's hair putting in hair bands, then other people should respect your decision.

My XP and his g/f put my 2yr old in french plaits. Sad
I was not happy at all, and politely asked them not to put DD's hair in french plaits again until she was much older, but to put 2 bunches in if they wanted to put her hair up.

The next time DD went to XP and girlfriends, she was returned with 16 bobbles in her hair. Shock Angry Sad
It took a long time to remove each and every one, and they weren't even normal hair bands, they were tiny tiny clear plastic loops. Angry Angry

I didn't realise they were elastics until I got the first one out, by which point she was rolling on the floor trying to stop me so I wouldn't have wanted to get scissors near her.

portaloo, I've done some silly styles with a few bobbles before now but don't think I've managed 16! I really don't get why people want to do things to the hair of someone else's baby.

Here's one for you all www.princesshairstyles.com/ it's the one I mentioned in my OP. I've not gone that far with playing with the eldest's hair but we do like to do some fancy styles.
