I only recently joined up, got chatting to this guy, 6 years older than me, cardiac nurse, not Johnny Depp hot but pretty damn cute.

So we arranged a date, I get there, don't spot him, then he approaches me. He admitted the photo was 7 years old and he's since gained 4 stone and gone bald. There was no physical attraction t all so it was never going to go anywhere.

I just don't understand why he wasted both of our time? Then i think is it me being shallow?
But I don't think so. I was in a very long relationship, I want to go on dates, flirt have fun and can only do that with someone physically attractive.

Is this normal, d lots do the same?

Have you asked him where he got it from yet?

kreecherlivesupstairs · 28/02/2011 13:04

The medical details are a huge thing. Presumably you haven't had any treatment that he could check while living at your current address?
I would be contacting the health authority and reporting this IIWY.

queenofboak · 28/02/2011 13:22

OP

Is he a cardiac nurse or a paramedic? Either way if you are sure that he has 'looked you up' at work, you must report him. That is very worrying behavior

theyCallMeHer · 28/02/2011 14:19

He's a paramedic I changed the details a little , to change identifiers but am too stupid to follow through with it ahha.

Thing is, from advice given on the other thread it is highly unlikely he has, but there is just no way he could know this. I'm racking my brain.

I'm going to call him when his shift finishes as he isn't anwering texts now (fair enough when he's at work i guess)

Ok. that's just weird.

I think you should keep the texts and text him again saying "How did you get that information about me?"

I'd really be looking at taking it further if it is possible he has accessed your notes.

Mmm not sure about this as while I was looking for a pic to put on facebook I put on one of me from 5 years ago - mainly because it was the only decent one I could find!!!! Maybe he hasn't really admitted to himself how much he has changed (I know I haven't!!).

solooovely · 28/02/2011 16:23

What other thread?

solooovely · 28/02/2011 16:24

2babyblues Mine is really old too!

KatieWatie · 28/02/2011 16:33

in defence of POF, my best (male) friend went on there - really lovely honest guy, freshly divorced and not sure what he wanted or that internet dating was for him so he was dabbling... he met some really horrific women on there who lied / behaved oddly

so some of the guys on there are genuine and the site is lucky to have them!

Footbeats · 14/07/2019 05:16

Is that all? You should be a bloke I been on two whole pof dates , I meet lady say hello , in a coffee shop a crowded coffee shop , by coffee cakes like you do . Im good looking, which means , Im nit a wimp , but Im a really quiet guy.

I sit down , I dont know her , besides hello cakes , just get totally blasted , barely tolerable from the ex wife , apparently , I could attack her, in a crowded coffee shop? At 59 believe me Id like a nice civilised kind of lady , quiet , do gardening together or something .

It just went on , like being married , me sat in shock woman bellowing at me . Women my age do this . I like to forget the other one

You will dine out on this story for a long long time. My friend went on a date with a man who told her he was about to go into a witness protection programme so she may no hear from him for a while. Bloody funny. Chalk it up to experience, keep on. Good luck OP.

Wow, the old pic isn’t a new thing. Not surprising at all. The telling you medical info and old address are not acceptable at all! He should not be looking you up in any NHS or medical system unless he had a legal medical reason to do so. I am not from there but I am certain this would be against the law!

Butchyrestingface · 14/07/2019 06:32

How does one meet partners on Ebay?

Did you put yourself up for auction? Was it fixed price or offers over?
