to still be in my dressing gown?

I'm usually up, dressed, preparing breakfast. For some reason I just can't motivate myself to get dressed (not depressed) DH has gone to work but is only working until 12 today, so I know I need to be dressed by then. I just can't be bothered.

Please tell me there's others in pajamas?

Sorry, I completely win. I've been busy all day with... uh... uh... um, important stuff. (bum-shaped grooves in the kitchen chair - heard that alternative census scouser prog too). I went upstairs at some stage to try to have a go at trying to get dressed but before I knew it I was down here again. Don't know how that happened.

LadyOfTheManor · 25/02/2011 18:03

I have a feeling I went up to bring the washing down, hovered in front of my wardrobe, then wandered away again.

Weird.

The alternative census programme was a pile of balls, eh?!

Can't remember it Lady - jumbled up with Libya and that scottish prog on a scottish isle and womans hour and Libya - as I said, been doing Important Stuff All Day So Didn't Get Time To Get Dressed Or Listen Properly To Programmes On The Radio. ps do balls pile?

LadyOfTheManor · 25/02/2011 18:11

Some utter nonsense about asking Irish/Asian British/Black Irish/Black British etc how they fill forms in.

Utterly dull and from what I gathered there was an Asian British woman (the Scouser) who was told by her dad to always claim to be Black as Asian people got it "worse" off. I was thoroughly confused by the end!

My Important Stuff involved, wiping the kitchen sides, posting on MN, listing on Ebay, eating toast and a scotch egg, drinking endless cups of coffee, watching Hustle, downloading some songs and checking FB every 2 minutes.

Looked at the clock a lot today, thinking Is That The Time! Get Dressed! But then I remembered the night shift I did - nurse. Not really, stealing someone else's idea. Not Dressed And Not Even Original.

thomas, do you rent out your mum?

Numberfour · 25/02/2011 21:05

Dh thinks I am in pjs all day. The poor sod leaves for work at 6am (I am still in bed) and is home after 7.30 most nights (me back in pjs by then). So it is no wonder he thinks I just slouch around all day .....

In honour of this thread having made "Discussion of the Day" I will stay in my lovely white and baby blue Primark brushed cotton pjs all day tomorrow.

LadyOfTheManor · 25/02/2011 21:28

Ah Saturday. I might do the same. I hope this doesn't turn into a habit, I've annoyed myself all day by not getting dressed!

halfcaff · 25/02/2011 23:13

At weekends if we have no commitments/dc activities I am often in my pjs til around 11 as dh hogs the bath for ages and I get stuck into housework/pottering and just don't get round to dressing until I have to. We do have a shower available but just had one bathroom with loo for 14 years, so I had to wait and have got into the habit. Besides I like to save water so get into his bath when he's finished and just top it up if it's a bit cool!

CheerfulYank · 26/02/2011 01:28

I think what I need to do is stock up on clothes that could be either...yoga pants, etc. Then I will merely look as if I'm off to Pilates class or similar...and I think I just injured myself holding in the guffaws over actually typing that. Exercise! Imagine! :o

LadyOfTheManor · 26/02/2011 08:59

I like the "i work nights" excuse!

I'm not in my PJ's... I naked as the day that I was born. Just hope nobody comes to the door Grin.

tigerbear · 26/02/2011 12:39

I'm still in bed, not even in a dressing gown or pyjamas!
DH has brought me toast with marmalade and mint tea :)
He's doing the housework and I'm playing on MN.
Feel a tad guilty, but am 7 months pg, so I do have an excuse Grin

Still in PJ's both me and DD, feeling like a lazy slob today. About to have bath, hairwashed, dress then tackle a bit of housework.

LadyOfTheManor · 26/02/2011 15:37

I HAD to get dressed as we drove to the town and went shopping.

Found a Hermes tie from a charity shop. Just listed it on Ebay.

All in a days work.

Erugh I want a take away so badly. DH said no.

To the kitchen I go. May out my jammies back on out of protest. The over sized checked ones, that aren't sexy in the least. That'll show him.

I saw a horrific sight in the shopping centre of my town recently. A young woman in her cheap, pink tartan, brushed cotton pyjama bottoms topped off with a too short and too tight pink t-shirt and cheap fake ugg slipper boots. Her arse cleavage was clearly visible as were the rolls of flab on her stomach. Sitting around at home in your PJs is a lovely, guilty pleasure but venturing outside your front door???

adamschic · 26/02/2011 20:23

Last weekend I reluctantly agreed to take DD to work. I has washed, cleaned teeth, brushed hair put a bit of makeup on, long coat over my PJ's, (not checked) cheap fake uggs and had to go for petrol on the way. Our local garage had run out of petrol so I went to a much larger one. Was stood in the queue when I remembered you could just see that I had PJ's on. Blush Thought of mumsnet.

smokingnuns · 26/02/2011 21:44

Why on earth would you put your PJs back on once you'd washed adamschic? Like, the worst bit was over Confused

adamschic · 27/02/2011 13:07

OK the wash was a face wash and the bath was tin. Blush I had a lazy day ahead.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/02/2011 13:26

nope, im still in mine and sod it, think its gonna be a pj day and will jump in shower later on and then back into clean ones

LadyOfTheManor · 27/02/2011 13:46

I had church this morning-so I had to get dressed. Dropping ds off at my mother's shortly, so it'll be jammie time once more.

I'm never going to break this habit!
