to still be in my dressing gown?

I'm usually up, dressed, preparing breakfast. For some reason I just can't motivate myself to get dressed (not depressed) DH has gone to work but is only working until 12 today, so I know I need to be dressed by then. I just can't be bothered.

Please tell me there's others in pajamas?

Im still in my PJS now, just had breakfast of haribo starmix and i am pissing around on MN while tryna find a free trial of Microsoft office ha!

Also being on xbox this morning. The house is a tip but it will remain that way today :)

LadyOfTheManor · 25/02/2011 13:54

Alaro you are a traitor.

DH just returned from swimming with chips! yum!

STILL not dressed, and now eating out of newspaper. Life doesn't get any better than this.

Im still in mine, have taken the dog out and done my housework. I just might get dressed soon, or I might not.

The jobs of apathetic depression.

TooImmature2BMum · 25/02/2011 13:57

Am not even in PJs. Dressing gown and slippers and nowt else. I can't decide if that makes me a slattern or a hussy. If the postman comes I will answer the door boldly - he can't tell I have no knickers on! It's DH's dressing gown as am 39 weeks pregnant and it covers me all up. I don't see the point in getting dressed unless I have to at the moment - hardly anything fits, all my nice PJs are packed in my hospital case, and my main reason for leaving the house is to walk the dog in a deserted field. I do have friends coming over tonight, though, so I will have to get dressed eventually.

Am still in my PJ's, at, how long is it since thread started??
I do work from home at least 2 days a week and rarely get dressed on those days, can't see the point in getting a set of clothes 'dirty' {feel very green & proud}.

In my defence I am in my posh PJs as OH is at home today {pretty checked trousers, vest top and waterfall{?} cardie bought just because they go so nicely with these trousers. I think a week without a PJ day is a week wasted..

OH is grumping as he had to go out and is loudly wondering if he should go change back in to his

Annpan88 · 25/02/2011 14:19

I'm on maternity leave and I tend to have a shower at some point and put another pair of pyjamas on Grin Its brilliant

LadyOfTheManor · 25/02/2011 14:20

ha ha "loudly wondering".

Mine are white and blue checks with a white top, and 2 odd trainer socks (still haven't found my slippers).

TooImmature2BMum just read your post! am in exact same boat, clothes don't fit and DP's dressing gown is fantastic

FabbyChic · 25/02/2011 14:41

My son says whats the point of getting dressed mum if no one is going to see you. You are in your own home you can do what you want.

I agree too! He has just got up bathed and changed into a clean pair of jamas! he is 17!

MappandLucia · 25/02/2011 14:51

I don't wear pjs but was in my dressing gown til 2.

Figgyrolls · 25/02/2011 14:55

DD and I often have entire sundays of sitting in pjs. tis very nice indeed. dd would stay in jammies all day if she could, she will only take them off to put on leggings and a long sleeve tshirt so I do sometimes wonder what the point is. (she is 3)

clutteredup · 25/02/2011 15:22

Just found this thread and makes me feel better, had three children for sleep over last night, added to my 3 DC. Stayed up late waiting for boys to finally go to sleep and was woken 2 hourly between 2 and 6 by my DC (invitees perfectly well behaved and not into sleep deprivation) so had a lie in till 9, DH was up with the lot at 7.30. Was supposed to return visitors at 10 but finally made it at 11.40 due to 'being a bit slow' i.e. still in my pjs as were all the children. Don't you just love half term!!!

InnocentRedhead · 25/02/2011 16:04

MN you really are the bane of my life, still here in my PJs. I suppose i am doing something useful though, looking for work :)

d0gFace · 25/02/2011 16:18

Update: Im now dressed.

Changebagsandgladrags · 25/02/2011 16:19

Felt smug because I managed to get the DCs dressed before going to the park. Unlike the other child who was there in her jammies.

KittaKatta · 25/02/2011 16:21

Am still in PJ's, OH stopped wondering and went and got changed Grin
And we've just had breakfast. . did a massive fry up, bacon, sausage, beans, fried bread, white pudding [saved fom when my Mum last visited] the lot, feel a little sick to be honest but a nice over full sick feeling.

Will need to get dressed at some point, as have no wine in the house, it's friday night, need wine!

LadyOfTheManor · 25/02/2011 16:25

Eurgh I'm still not dressed and have taken on the task of listing everything in my house on Ebay that I've been meaning to do forever.

Now I have no reason to get dressed!

Well, I'm dressed at mo because I've just got in from work.

However, I used to work from home ocassionally and find it a real struggle to get dressed. Many's the time that the postman has called around lunchtime to give me a parcel. I used to open the door boldly, all the while mentally telling him that its acceptable for me to be in PJs cos I'm a nurse just finished a shift. I'm not a nurse. Nor have I ever worked shift work. It just made me feel better in my own mind if I was mentally prepared to give this cover story if ever he should question my atire.

Having said (all) that, I am usually the first in the house to get into PJs. How early is it acceptable to shed the day's clothes and get into something more comfy?

LadyOfTheManor · 25/02/2011 16:38

Sometimes when ds is bathed I get in with him and get my jammies on at about 6. That's probably too early...ask me if I'm bothered, go on ask me Grin

I love to potter around in my pj's! I'm dressed now (if you can call it that; jeans, hoodie, slipper-type shoes, rat's nest of hair tamed into a ponytail) only because I'm at work.

This Monday I didn't have to go to work (President's Day) and could lounge around all day in my jammies watching Sesame Street with DS and reading gossipy magazines. I envied no one! :o

LadyOfTheManor · 25/02/2011 17:24

Grin @ Presidents' day. Wish we had the equivalent. Still not dressed, not much point now, will wait for ds to have his bath in 30 minutes then get clean jammies on and face the evening!

anythingwithagiraffeonit · 25/02/2011 17:39

Oh god i'm in pjs all the time! I get dressed about five mins before DD and I have to be somewhere...

I'm a slummy mummy! Lol

InnocentRedhead · 25/02/2011 17:48

Clean jammies sound fab tbh, gonna wait until just before DP gets home and then get semi presentable, and wiht it being friday night the nightie of choice may have to be sleek and black and floaty...

On second thoughts, nah, big, pink and fluffy is in order.

LadyOfTheManor · 25/02/2011 18:01

ha! I think I'll get my Gap fleecies on. Friday night, Schmiday night.
