Telling us we are all bitches and unsupportive because they have seen a few heated threads!

That is like a bunch of aliens beaming down in an abattoir and assuming that the earth Is nothing but a bloody violent hellhole full of gore-splattered monsters with big hatchets!

I don't do 'bitch'. I try but it always ends up a slightly peeved.

I think we could make a case for being BULLIED! Shock

blondepinhead · 22/02/2011 10:49

Hive mind?! So Mumsnet is the Borg and I've been assimilated? Well fuck me.

OracleInaCoracle · 22/02/2011 10:51

i think the recent media storm has just bought a load of new people expecting something else or with their own agenda. things will calm down and return to normal. some will get bored and naff off elsewhere, and some will stay feeling that mn is the place for them. its just taking a while.

Hullygully · 22/02/2011 10:51

[ignores]

GetOrfMoiLand · 22/02/2011 10:55

I think whenever MN is on the news there is alwasy an influx of new posters.

I joined in the same way - was when the Gina Ford thing kicked off, it was on the news that Mumsnet was a horde of slanderous harridans. I thought 'that's the place for me' and came on to have a look.

BUT - I didn't pile in straight away, I just lurked for weeks before I braced myself to post (and was duly ignored).

The youngsters just jump straight in with no thought to propriety

I didn't know that quiche Lorraine was named after Lorraine Kelly. Amazing. Every day's a school day.

OracleInaCoracle · 22/02/2011 10:57

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 22/02/2011 10:58

Well yes Hully of course. I personally am the dead spit of Locutus Seven of Nine.

Hullygully · 22/02/2011 10:59

[ignores with intent]

notwavingjustironing · 22/02/2011 11:08

I lurked for TWELVE MONTHS at least before I dared post. Even now I delete more posts than I ever send.

Am I just not HARD enough??

Ormirian · 22/02/2011 11:36
