Telling us we are all bitches and unsupportive because they have seen a few heated threads!

That is like a bunch of aliens beaming down in an abattoir and assuming that the earth Is nothing but a bloody violent hellhole full of gore-splattered monsters with big hatchets!

I don't do 'bitch'. I try but it always ends up a slightly peeved.

I think we could make a case for being BULLIED! Shock

My! How lovely they are.

Hullygully · 22/02/2011 10:30

Oh thank god - I thought I was being particularly dense.

nickytwotimes · 22/02/2011 10:31

yanbu.

it is boring and baad manners

LessNarkyPuffin · 22/02/2011 10:32

How big are they?

I am over endowed in the foot department.

yogididabooboo · 22/02/2011 10:32

we were on the news yet again this morning so prepare for an influx of bored housewives who have nothing better to do than stir trouble or make ridiculous posts whinging about nothing.

Thankfully our regulars may be housewives but they are far from bored and always post fascinating things of interest to all Wink

KaraStarbuckThrace · 22/02/2011 10:33

I have a headache and am grumpy today.

Hullygully · 22/02/2011 10:34

They. Are. Not. Big.

Tis just the spiteful Gibbon.

Ormirian · 22/02/2011 10:34

I am not a housewife, never bored (or rarely) and I am a fund of fascinating stories. For a start let me tell you all about blowing up balloons and making a birthday cake.....

Wait! Noooo....come back. I haven't got to the bit about the candles yet.....

  1. Ooh hell(o), I'm not that new.
  2. My pfb is pretty average, if a little bit daft
sometimes. But she's only 1, so she's allowed.
  1. As long as you're funny/talk sense you're ok with me. I can take it. Be howwid.
  2. Mine's a quiche lorraine*
  3. Does Hully really have gigantasaurus feet? Can I see a photo?

*Not really, but can't think of any others

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 22/02/2011 10:35

Yanbu, if I visit a website and think it's crap I just don't post there, I don't start posts saying 'this is crap, you must all change to make me like it '

LessNarkyPuffin · 22/02/2011 10:36

Ah. Then neither are mine.

Hullygully · 22/02/2011 10:36

There is something terribly sweet about No. 4.

Please see re feet above.

Hullygully · 22/02/2011 10:36

Orm - there can't be ANOTHER birthday in your house - you've only hjust had yours and DS's.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 22/02/2011 10:37

blondepinhead · 22/02/2011 10:37

LessNarkyPuffin · 22/02/2011 10:38

OracleInaCoracle · 22/02/2011 10:40

yanbu, i havent been on mn much lately because it seems really... odd. ive been waiting for it to calm down, but it seems to be taking longer than usual

FindingStuffToChuckOut · 22/02/2011 10:41

YANBU - but this thread has more than made up for all the "whiny cake stall expecting" threads of late! Grin

Hullygully · 22/02/2011 10:41

4??

bupcakesandcunting · 22/02/2011 10:43

I'm relatively new (first started posting a year ago) so I have no idea whether this mythical "Mumsnet of Yore" exists or not. I mean, has it always been a nest of vipers with PMT or was it ever a supportive, virtual coffee morning with hugs and naice biccies?

I like a cross between both, personally. I like the sniping (if it doesn't go too far), it piques my interest. If I wanted to read a load of yes women agreeing on everything, I'd be, well, you know where...

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 22/02/2011 10:43

MN goes through this cycle every now and again. It'll settle down, it always does. People will get absorbed into the general hive mind or they'll just bugger off. I've become very zen to it over the years.

blondepinhead · 22/02/2011 10:45

Ah, sorry. Lorraine
