and then get offended and all 'shake the dust off' when they get a lot of Hmm?

It seems to happen a lot, and the latest is one in chat where someone is questioning friends motives for waiting to have children then getting upset that people are being a bit snotty.

Well, am I? Surely it's a bit more reasonable to take a look about before you start with the controversial stuff? They always seem to surprised to be disagreed with!

Never is on this blighted isle. You've got good taste in Welsh destinations though SM I'll give you that. At least we don't get the midges like you do in Scotland.

Thanks Mary. I don't normally frequent this topic. I've been on MN for a while now but that might explain my ignorance!

And, obviously, you viper, I will pull this thread, shake the dust off and be back next week under a new name to tell you all what I thought of you.

I do love an overused cliche though SM. It makes my simple Welsh soul happy.

Anyway, good night all. I look forward to catching up with the drunken ramblings in the morning.

Be good now Agent and step away from the sheep.

The problem can sometimes being that people relying can to a new post can be really rude and there is no need to be bitchy or nasty when you disagree

Everyone has a right to post - the posters who have berm here longer do not have more right

buttonmoon78 · 20/02/2011 09:46

Hi MissyK. I'm obviously getting bad at expressing myself because you seem to have missed the point too.

You're right. Some people can truly be rude and bitchy but that's not what I'm saying. My issue is with those who come on and say...

...infertile people have brought it on themselves or
...poor people have brought it on themsleves or
...immigrants are the reason I can't get a job/house/operation or
...PND is a state of mind, get a grip.

There are plenty of people who post on such emotive subjects and then get really wussy when people get het up and disagree with them.

Really, how long you've been on MN is irrelevant it's just that when they get entrenched and refuse to discuss their opinions they then say 'I've only been here a few days/weeks, you're all horrible, I'm off'. To the sound of slow clapping.
