It just popped up in my face. The fridge magnet thing upset me a tad.

We're all struggling at the moment,worried about jobs etc. I've got about as much chance of winning the lottery as taking my dc to Disney. My kids continuously nag about it,I continuously say dream on.

I don't feel I have to take them,I just want to. There are enough marketing pressures re kids I come on here to converse with mums not to be made to feel sad.

I think it's a bit insensitive at the moment at a time when many of us shouldn't/can't dream of spending £2K on a dream holiday.

I thought Mumsnet was better than that,a little disappointed.

I will know I have failed as a parent if she asks to go there!

could someone ban the rooster potato ads as I am allergic to potatoes and it's just insensitive to epipen carriers everywhere!!!

Hi MMe ah sorry I was confused !

We did Paris in 2009 (bonus from work - those days are long gone) !!! It was amazing, totally loved it, and then decided to actually book it (my sister went and said, if you never book, you will never go) ! She was right so then we had a date and it was a case of work work work ! We stil have a large balance and have worked out it will be done and in 215 days we wil be there.

It's not just about Disney tho, it will be warm, eldest is excited for Harry Potter World, Hubby can't wait to try all the expereinces (space, star tours etc) and youngest swim with the dolphins.

I know this is once in a lifetime, and it's taken about 6 years of saving, let's hope we have fun !!!
