to hate it when people talk about "indie" schools

in an attempt to make it sound cool, edgy and alternative? it isn't. it's private education. it's a right-wing, ultimately selfish decision.

NoSuchThingAsSociety....what about children who are clever but poor??? What's to be done about them, or do you not agree there could be no such as thing as a clever but poor child???

How about the average child who is educated privately and miraculously comes out with top grades v the clever child, educated at a crap state school, who comes out with lesser grades but is actually brighter??? What about them? Not interested???

This is where it all falls apart really, isn't it? So depressing.

Talk about sharp elbowed middle classes. Ghastly.

I'm out of this thread.
