Sungirl I used to belong to that gym (the Esporta in Gloucestershire).

The staff are all really friendly, and the outside pool is lovely (especially in the snow).

But couldn't justify expense really as I never used it.

Thinking of going back to Virgin in Gloucester as it is nearer my house, so may well use it more (wishful thinking)

I spent years being too intimidated to go to the gym. It has definitely changed my life. I come across all kinds of intimidating and revolting people and feel totally empowered by by confidence to think they are twats. That said, I do struggle when the guy next to me in a cotton t shirt is actually dripping over my machine. I hope i am not a prententous or unfriendly gym user because I feel so confident I love wearing (not skimpy) gym stuff and feeling as if I finally know what I am doing. May be as a result of a particularly nasty PE teacher I had who used to make me try to climb the rope to give the class a laugh. Once he asked the class to vote on whether we should see Jasmine climb the ropes and said if they were very good he would save it until the last week of term as a treat. Bastard. I could probably knock him down now.

getorf - its the one in plymouth but same same. we are doing aterbabies there atm and i love it. i am a heavy gym user so i'd go alot but i love all the family stuff available. dh and dd and i could go all day in the winter and really get alot out of it. soon soon!
