to think cheese and onion should be green

Cheese and onion crisps should be green and salt and vinegar blue. Mc coys ( king of crisps so not to be messed with ) have got it right, but DH seems to think Walkers are right with their blue for cheese and onion weirdness and green salt and vinegar.

Golden wonder, salt n vinegar crisps.... the food of gods.....yum yummm....

Sn0wflake · 12/02/2011 18:44

YANBU - I have thought this for a long time.

Sn0wflake · 12/02/2011 18:45

And if we are talking crisps do you remember hedgehog crisps...they were really lovely.

chickbean · 12/02/2011 18:52

Yes, should be green - keep accidentally almost buying them by mistake.Only one thing that I hate more than Cheese and Onion crisps and that's Cheesy Wotsits.

piratecat · 12/02/2011 18:53

i have never seen golden wonder crisps since the late 8o's in devon.

i grew up in wales, we deffo had golden wonder there. i would love to find some.

i saw a multipack once of cheese and onion.

LauraSmurf · 12/02/2011 18:57

Hurrah! A kindred spirit thread!!

Seriousl which is more green onions or salt!! I ask you!

It is utter madness and has had me grabbing a packet to go with a meal deal at lunch, being in the queue to pay and just as it is my turn realise that the green packet in my hand is not cheese and onion so i look like a prize numpty and wander off rather than too the till!!

GentleOtter · 12/02/2011 19:13

Yes, I remember hedgehog crisps!

SecretNutellaFix · 12/02/2011 19:16

pirate cat- our tesco has ahd them sometimes.

Do you have a Home Bargains anywhere near? They have them in our local one as well.

seeker · 12/02/2011 19:17

You are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO NBU!

thefurryone · 12/02/2011 19:17

YANBU I have often thought this, and have been in the annoying situation of buying cheese & onion when I wanted salt & vinegar

thefurryone · 12/02/2011 19:19

pirate I remember tudor crisps think you can only buy them in the NE of England, haven't seen them since I left so not sure if you still can, shame as they do the nicest prawn cocktail.

seeker · 12/02/2011 19:20

I frequently put the wrong crisps in lunch boxes. It was OK when they were at the same school, but it's more of a problem now they are 10 miles apart at lunchtime!

seeker · 12/02/2011 19:21

Seabrooks's are the king of crisps!

JoBettany · 12/02/2011 19:23

I used to love Tudor gammon crisps. Delicious.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 12/02/2011 19:30

I loved Tudor Spring Onion crisps!! A white bag with a green spring onion etched onto them!!!

Tupperwarewolf · 12/02/2011 20:34

YANBU. This has pissed me off for years. I am always getting bloody S&V instead of lovely C&O :(

Sn0wflake · 13/02/2011 13:56

GentleOtter ahhhh those were the days.....

FabbyChic · 13/02/2011 13:57

I agree green for cheese and onion, blue for salt and vinegar.

Spenguin · 13/02/2011 14:01

You're all BU.

There is no other crisp but sour cream and chive.

piratecat · 13/02/2011 16:39

KP Worcester sauce used to rock, tho, bloody gorg.

GentleOtter · 13/02/2011 16:48

Sn0wflake - do you remember the proper twist of salt in blue paper? (not the little sachets)>

seeker · 13/02/2011 20:27

GentleOtter - I do I do!

And soemtimes you got two!

My big brother used to buy me a packet on the way home from school sometimes - they were such a treat!

potplant · 13/02/2011 20:37

YADNBU

Many a meal deal has been ruined by picking up the blue bag and realising they're not S&V.

Right - so when are we marching on Downing Steet?

itssnotfunny · 13/02/2011 20:39

yanbu, also seabrooks are the king of crisps but sadly they have cheese n onion in some yellow jobby bag?

porcamiseria · 13/02/2011 21:33
